That's the smart thing to do. Well, unless he hurts his footFresh off a year where he missed a quarter of the season and then averaged 2.1 yards per carry in the playoffs.
If I'm the Chargers, I tell him to go kick rocks.
Yeah, after it blew up in Le'Veon Bell's face, let guys keep sitting if they want to sit. This will cycle out. This is why you never give in to players demands. Let them keep sitting out. Eventually they will lose and every other player will see it. When you let players strong arm you, you just ensure that every future player will do the same. Team>Player.

I agree the NFL doesn't need the headaches the NBA has experienced where the players control the league. This is why you never give in to players demands. Let them keep sitting out. Eventually they will lose and every other player will see it. When you let players strong arm you, you just ensure that every future player will do the same. Team>Player.
Explain.
3.8 YPC and a cloud of dust before last year.I wouldn't say worthless.
2016 - Pro Bowl - 1400 total yards 12 TD's
2017 - 1600 total yards 12 TD's
2018 - Pro Bowl - 1400 total yards 14 TD's
It depends on how much money he is looking for. If he is looking to be a top 5 paid RB...go take a hike. He isn't productive/healthy enough to be in that conversation.

63 YPG
8 career 100 yard games.
better pass catcher vs a runner IMO
I agree with the bolded but isn't that part of what makes him valuable? Isn't it only like 40% of plays that are runs for SD?3.8 YPC and a cloud of dust before last year.

Last year counts too, right? And actually probably counts more. As for his career when you also have guys like Woodhead and Ekeler they probably got some of those carries that yielded a better YPA at least in part due to game situation. Maybe it's a chicken or the egg thing but weren't the Chargers in those years not great run blocking OLs?3.8 YPC before last year.
league average is what 4.0-4.2?

RBsDontMatter.
So please do give him the big contract, Chargers.
