McNabb: “We never had to worry about Eli when we played the Giants. We never worried about Romo either b/c we knew he’d turn the ball over.”

I swear for some reason I use to like this guy and always thought he was overlooked. This guy has done nothing but prove me wrong since he retired. What an egomaniac. I wish TO would have whipped his ass instead of whipping Hugh Douglas. A radio host from here in Nashville that also works for fox says he is the biggest jackass there is. He told a story a few yrs back about a guy that came up to Donovan and stuck his hand out to shake hands and Donovan replied sorry I just washed my hands and didnt shake. He was 3-5 vs Romo and the Cowboys while with the Eagles. He will be announcing games this season with Dick Stockton.

I think it's a combination of him being bitter and that he realizes that most people don't realize he is alive until he makes these outrageous statements from time to time.

I felt a little bad for him very early in his career, but when it began to seem as if he would race bait and he had a chip on his shoulder, I felt he was showing his true colors, and I lost all sympathy for him. I think he's all ate up about a lot of things in his life, and he's a professional doucher.

Thats one of the reasons I dont get it. He actually has a job on television. I guess in a way old Salsbury and Hoge did or do the same thing. I listened to about 20 minutes of the podcast and had to cut it off. He was asked who the best 3 QBs he played- he replied Favre, Manning, Brady. He then said he always got the best of Favre, which he probably did- I always rememeber the Eagles having the Packs number. He talked about how good looking he was . Of course he said Foles was not a franchise QB as well.

^Says the guy without a clue.

Check out Chunky Soup Man's Real Sports interview. After you educate yourself, feel free to come back and attempt to have an intelligent conversation about it, or in you're case, I'll settle for an intelligible one.

African-American quarterbacks face more pressure and more criticism than their white counterparts, Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb says in an interview scheduled to air on HBO on Tuesday night.

McNabb, in an interview on "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel," tells interviewer James Brown that African-American quarterbacks such as himself face added pressure because there are fewer black QBs -- and because some still don't want black athletes playing the position.
"There's not that many African-American quarterbacks, so we have to do a little bit extra," McNabb tells HBO. "Because the percentage of us playing this position, which people didn't want us to play ... is low, so we do a little extra."

That is not race baiting that is fact. He handled himself well when that fat racist said that the media only wanted him to suceed because he was black. I would have been pissed. You work your ass off to be a qb in the NFL and that is what is said about you. McNabb was all class when he played. He never adressed the issue of race when he played. He was criticized for it by some.

I really at one time thought he was Hall of Fame caliber. He had led his team to 5 straight NFC championships and 1 Superbowl.2007-2008- I really thought he was on his way. Then that day Reid put in Kolb and benched him , nothing was ever the same with him. I actually thought he would still be playing and piling up numbers. I really thought he was borderline though and he still may be.

I dont think he is a race baiter one bit. Actually, quite the opposite. He gets ripped by Limbaugh and he handled it with class. Then the leader of the Philly chapter of the NAACP called him a sell out for not running anymore and trying to act white. People dumped all of this guy completely unfairly.

BUT, his schtick on other topics is wearing thin. Rips ROmos contract, rips Daltons contract, rips a QB with 2 SB rings, rips Favre (who also has a ring), and now he's ripping Foles because a franchise QB cant run like a "turtle" like Foles does. Maybe he can talk to the other slow runners like P. Manning, Troy Aikmann and see if they agree you have to run like a rabbit to be a franchise QB.

I think he took way too much crap during his career. I also think he handled it all like a man but ever since then all I hear from him is him ripping current players and its getting boring. Along with all that, he was the one who was correct in the TO situation. McNabb was NEVER a team destroyer but TO was. I did also sympathize with TO though. I thought TO had mental disease but I think the current McNabb went from a classy player to a QB who lost his speed and was never able to be accurate and is bitter post retirement.

Ask McNabb whats Marino's avg. per rush is. It is in the inches per rush. (since he wants to talk about foles running)
the guy is a total douche. When I see him on fox sports 1 channel. I just change the channel. he brings nothing to TV, why he has a job still is beyond me. Everytime he talks he improves his reputation for being stupid!

I think you a pretty accurate to what I believe as well. Once he lost that speed, it was downhill. You know the guy as well as anyone though and to me he never seemed the type to want the Spotlight all the time . He always seemed to know Westbrooks was a huge key for them, and honestly besides TO - Westbrooks was probably the best play maker he had with him. Dont get me wrong- BW was damn good, but Donovan carried that offense many years. To be so quiet about then, it almost seems now he wants people to know how good he was and he was good , but we all know Theismann and how much he is hated. Is McNabb headed that way? I hope not

McNabb is one of the biggest A-holes in sports. He is just an entitled, arrogant asz that comes off like he thinks he is better than the rest of us. He wants people to pretend he was this All time great player, but he wasn't. He's bitter and jealous and it comes through loud and clear. He is just a dick. I don't know why anyone would give him a job in sports or expect other to want to hear his opinion on anything. And worst of all he dissed my friend PE1's son at a basketball game...

I think McNabb has issues are more jealousy about QB's contracts vs. racism. Let's see what his remarks are if/when RGIII signs a multi mil deal.

If it happens, It won't be complimentary, of that I'm sure. McNabb has a lot of sour grapes when it comes to the skins and Griffin not wanting to 'take advice' from him is only one of the many disrespects he feels in regards to the skins franchise.
