Seems we may not resign McClain.

What impact did he make last season?
I never said he didn't contribute but he can be replaced with a lower cost alternative. I don't see very many teams showing an interest in this guy.He was our best LB for most of the season. As PDay says, if he out prices himself let him walk but to act as though he wasn't an asset is simply idiotic.

Agreed.I must have missed the message saying we need to bring him in no matter what the cost is. Again if he wants to much don't resign him, but if we can get his talent at a team friendly price I'd more than welcome him.
I'll agree to disagree
Agreed.
I feel like the Cowboys lately have a trend of finding low risk high reward players and signing them to low ball contracts that's ok if its a guy here and a guy there, but it seems that the Cowboys are doing this with such frequency that eventually team continuity will suffer. At some point when guys produce you have to show them the money. I thought the the reason we let Murray walk was to better allocate that money. Meanwhile Dez hasn't got a contract. We've already loss 2 and a (p) of our starting LB core. I'm glad the Cowboys have change there approach, but they went from grossly over paying guys to not wanting to pay anyway. I think McClain at least deserves a mid level contract.
