MBBRL Suicide League Draft Thread

Duff hasn't been around (I e-mailed him)... if he doesn't chime in soon we'll autodraft based on fantasyfootballcalculator's ADP (which seems to have straightened itself out lately).

I'm not trying to be the fly in the Vaseline or anything, but I thought we were targeting May 19th for the draft? Or did I not read that right on the MBBRL thread?

How did today become "the day" of the draft?

Umm..I'm not entirely sure either..but over the thelast week or so, we discovered that espn leagues couldn't draft until June, we realized we could draft on here and Will could input the results..and it just sorta happened today..I think.

Not only that... but now Wil is already willing to pull the ADP autodraft rule... when he told me just a day or so ago tha if we checked in a couple of times a day, that that would be sufficient for the draft?!

Just seems like Duff is being penalized already.

I feel like we should just keep it going but no auto draft.... just gotta wait until each person goes... prolly will take a week or 2 but I feel it would be a pretty cool process. We just gotta inform people to check a couple times daily.

fuzzy when it's your turn copy and paste the draft order with everyone's picks so far then just add ur selection and post it...

This is on page 22 of the MBBRL thread. It is dated 5/7 @ 3:16pm.

I figure the time limit would be like... a day. But I imagine most people would take their picks within a couple of hours. If we do a round a day that's fine. I'll list everybody taken (by position) after each round.

Like I said, if I missed something where all of this changed, let me know.

(And keep in mind, I work on Saturdays too.)

I honestly think it was just a spontaneous thing. Will published the draft order, and since it was gonna happen here, Ram went why wait? then we all played follow the leader..there was no official "starting Gun"
So if we just maintain some patience and let peeps make picks when they can, we'll get er done

well said Treff... kinda like the NFL Draft if team with number 1 pick signs there guy before start of draft the team with number 2 pick is officially on the clock

I just lucked into seeing the start on my home email or I would be oblivious like Duff.

I have no problem continuing what has already been started. But until it trickles down to all 12 Suicide "owners" it may go a little slow.

And I mentioned my Saturday work schedule because if Duff and Monkey don't pick by 7 am, I may not be able to pick until after work. And if they pick 2 of the guys I'm leaning toward, then I hope everyone will be patient.

yah for sure we all just need to be patient with this.... pretty cool experiment tho. I bet it takes around 10-14days to complete... but no auto drafting I feel that just wouldn't be fair hopefully word gets around to all 12 members. To everyone seeing this for first time copy and paste draft order with everyone's picks so far... then wen u make ur selection add the players name next to ur teams name and submit the post... if ur confused look at the examples on page 1

If I remember, Duff's with his family this weekend, so we'll hang loose at least until Monday. As Ram points out, there's no rush here, and I kinda expect this to take over a week, maybe two weeks.

By the way, yes, we had decided on May 19... until we realized ESPN doesn't allow a draft before late June.

In the meantime we can rehash... I'm actually not quite that high on Martin. I loved having him last year where I was able to get him, but he commands a much steeper price now. After AP/Foster, I have Charles/TRich/Rice in a little cluster and then Martin behind them.

thought long and hard about TRich and Rice..but gave Charles no consideration, not in a league with no roster moves and his fragile body. But man, he will surely have some great games in Reid's offense.

Sorry fellas. Been asleep at the switch and forgot all about my Yahoo e-mail account. Just be patient with my picks, I've got soccer and T-ball going on with my kids and we have practice and games 6 days a week, so I'll check in when I get home in the evenings and when I can squeeze it in while at work.
