So since we have a break in the action, I want to discuss my options with the very last pick - Mr. Irrelevant.

I notice Treff hasn't taken a backup QB so I think I know where he's going with that.

Bandit says he's sticking with Mahomes only.

So that leaves me Stafford or Foles if I want a safety net for Brees. Maybe I shouldn't discuss this? But I think I know where most of you are leaning and it wont be backup QB.

Anyone want to make a case for either Stafford or Foles, or 1 of the other disasters available like Darnold or Eli?

P.S. I have no qualms riding Brees and going another direction too.

Honestly, if it was me, of what is left I'd rather go with Carr. If Carr can't get it done now he has no hope.

I'm wondering why you asked me? . Yea, I'm planning on a backup, you didn't mention him as any of your options, so I guess I'd side with anyone else who has chimed in, go with Carr.

Perhaps you misjudged where you thought I might be going?

Well, I really don't know on Jacobs but that Brown guy and T. Williams are pretty good. ...

Jacobs was the one drawing the "next Kamara" comparisons going into the draft..(which are likely bunk, but whatever).
So yes, he's very capable receiver, pass pro is still a bit of a ? though. But Richard and Washington are also capable receiving backs. Hell, Dougie Martin too, maybe not great, but capable. So, there's no lack of options, outside of crap at TE, for Carr to throw to.

Joe- I am probably an outlier here, but if I was looking for a backup at this point I would go with Foles. Recent success and a decent surrounding cast. I like him this year.
