Hey Big D, someone took offence to your comments (or should I say the gif) on the Mets thread.

Thought you'd find this ammusing.

Wow. Maybe he runs the site I took the GIF from? It is not like I was trying to say it was my own. Anyway, I can't imagine this being any sort of real issue, so I will not sweat it.

I think I'm leap frogging into 4th here after tonight... thanks for the boosts Phila and Chef!!

Nitty gritty time gentlemen!

You got help from FIP missing his innings minimum and
I lost the saves and steals categories late Sunday. Ouch- Well back at it this week.

Just noticed that, WHIP missed out on winning 2 cats (era and whip) by not making the innings limit... his non-activity has come back to bite him... hope all is well.

Looks like Harvey for Braun won't help either of us in the playoffs.

The Official Week 21 Preview:

This one is going to be more about implications and less about predictions. Anything can happen this week and we have an amazingly suspenseful slate of games. There is not a single match-up this week that is not meaningful in some way.

With an amazing 2.5 games separating 5th and 9th, the playoff picture has become more cloudy by the minute. WHIP my FIP went from near playoff lock to playoff underdog after taking a 10-0 beating at the hands of TKO last week. In a corresponding move, TKO shot up from 7th to a somewhat comfortable 4th.

Here are the games and what is at stake in each.

All games are important this week, but if I have to choose a featured match-up, it would have to be the Miggy Bowl:

11th place Sportsboys vs. 11th place Wolfpack- That is right. They are tied for last. Miggy is at stake here.

The sting of finishing last will be eased tremendously by winning the first pick. Conspiracy theorists are already looking at at financial records for both Jim and Sam to see if either is paying their players under the table to take a few extra days off. Whatever happens this week, the end result will be bittersweet for each.

5th place WHIP my FIP vs. 7th place Yellow Fuzzy-

WHIP is currently tied for the 5th playoff spot and Fuzzy is just .5 games back. Both teams need a convincing win to take themselves off the bubble. A loss could be season ending given how many teams are still in the mix.

4th place TKO vs. 8th place Fudpuckers-

Will TKO keep powering up the standings, or will he have a letdown after a mammoth victory? Fud matches up with TKO pretty well, but he will need his best week to gain any ground against a very good team. Fud is currently 1.5 games out of the final playoff spot, so the door is wide open.

3rd place Soggy Bottom Boys vs. 9th place Big League Chew-

The tightening of the standings really helps Big League despite a mediocre 5-5 result last week. He sits 2.5 games behind the 2 teams tied for 5th and could easily move up with a good week. Soggy is most likely to stay in 3rd, but could move down if TKO stays hot, or even move up if the Salamis get blown out by Sarnia.

5th place Dub vs. 10th place D Dude-

D Dude is looking to play spoiler at this point and he has an excellent chance to do just that. Dub needs a solid win to hold off all the teams behind him on the playoff bubble. With a difficult week 22 match-up, Dub may need to win in convincing fashion this week.

1st place Sarnia Tigers vs. 2nd place Grand Salami-

Barring a lopsided win for the Salamis this week, this game will likely be a coronation for the Tigers. Despite the loss of Matt Harvey, the Tigers are still looking dominant. Both teams are reeling from many injuries and will look to get healthy for the playoffs.

Well I don't know about Jim but I don't have to pay my players to suck ass........................they just do.

Great prediction Jim. This could be painful for everyone watching, even the spectators.

I feel like patting myself on the back.

...this is from April...
Damn, Tlance...wish I got to you sooner. I would have been dead set against dropping Gattis. Sure, you're in need of some steals, but I would have exhausted (and maybe you did) the trade option to the McCann owner...and WHHAAAATT??? Lucroy is on the ww? Pick him up now! I don't know why he gets no love, but I think he is a top five catcher, no doubt...yes, better than Perez.

Hey, a fella's gotta give himself love every now and again?

The best part about that is that I got tired of Sally P and worked out a deal to get Posey. Since then, Posey has done very little and Sally P has hit more bombs than he did the first 2/3 of the season for me.

Hey Philabuster, before you cut Bogie, did you say to him "We'll always have Paris"? :laugh3:

Now that I think of it, looks like i'll be saying the same thing to Melancon next week. Ah well, he was a help for a few weeks. That Nick Franklin for Chris Perez trade doesn't look so bad now.

it's really stupid that they brought Bogaerts up early to ride the bench.
Once the Pawsox were done, sure! Makes sense...let him gain a little experience with the big boys. At the cost of playing time, it's poor planning.

Yeah, it doesn't make a lot of sense. Seems to me that he's pretty much looked at as insurance for a Drew injury or a Middlebrooks bust. Middlebrooks seems to be cooling down now, so he could still see ABs, but it's looking like more of a gamble. I keep forgetting that time is running out! :what:

Interesting stuff going down. The playoff race will be a little clearer after today, not much though.

I really hope my SPs got all their bad turns over with this week. They have been impressively bad.
