I think the correct statement here would be, Jansen didn't deserve Ryu's win. :gaah: Prick!

It won't matter if any one of your 3 starters gets a win today. The other pitching cats are more or less settled as you will surely take Ks.

:hope: I'm crossing my fingers more with my hitters. They had a good night last night and you're did not, which could spell doom for me.:hope:

we're both wrong, it should be Ryu and Jansen didn't deserve whatever that was that Puig, Kemp and Ellis were attempting.

I'm kind of waiting on DUB, Tlance... your offer will be accepted/rejected by Wednesday since we're too late to change next week's lineup anyway.

Yes sir! And it doesn't have to be an out-bid, it can be an under bid for someone else (Peralta), or something involving A-Gon... lots of options over here!

Welcome to the weekly Re-Crap for week 13. Each week I will recap the week’s matchups and update the current standings for the masses.
Not much more to say so let’s get to it.

Soggy Bottom Boys 8 – Sarnia Tigers 1 (predicted score: Soggy Bottom Boyz 5 – Sarnia Tigers 4)
Series Score: Soggy Bottom Boyz 15 – Sarnia Tigers 2
The hitting was close going into Sunday, but The Bottom Boyz decided to come out and put on a hitting display. The Boyz took batting average with ease along with close races in home runs, rbi’s & stolen bases. One more run and they could have swept the hitting categories, but The Tigers fought The Boyz to a tie in runs. Out on the mound, The Tigers always dominant staff ran into trouble. Blowups by Wheeler, Miller and Reed proved costly, and only 2 pitchers had a whip below 1.4. The Boyz took 4 of 5 here and did not make a play for saves, benching their only closer. As it turns out, saves were the only point the Tigers could muster this week. With a series score of 15 to 2, the Tigers better hope they face someone else in the playoffs.

The Grand Salami 5 – WolfPack 5 (predicted Score: The Grand Salami 5 – WolfPack 3)
Series Score: The Grand Salami 11 – WolfPack 7
Pitching went as expected with the Pack taking wins and a close race in K’s. The Salami’s took saves without a fight along with ERA & a WHIP below 1. Hitting was close all around. The Pack edged out The Salami’s in home runs, rbi’s & stolen bases. The Grand one ran away with the runs column and also took batting average as the Pack’s hitters shut down Sunday.

Fudpuckers 7 – DUB 3 (predicted Score: Fudpuckers 6 – DUB 4)
Series Score: Fudpuckers 13 – DUB 7
The pitching edge was supposed to go to DUB, but Hamels, Cahill & Jackson didn’t get the memo. Puckers took 4 of 5 in pitching and just like the Pack, defaulted the saves column. As for hitting, Fud dominated in BA but everything else was real close. Along with batting average, Fud also took runs & stolen bases by 1. DUB took home runs with 4 along with RBI’s.

WHIP out your FIP 7 – D Dude’s Dodgers 3 (predicted score: WHIP out your FIP 7 – D Dude’s Dodgers 3)
Series Score: WHIP out your FIP 13 – D Dude’s Dodgers 7
Johnny Cueto came up lame after one inning of work. You could point to other factors but this was the big one. Triple D came up short in innings this week, but by the look of the score they weren’t gonna take any pitching points anyway. The ERA & WHIP were ugly on both sides, but it was a clean sweek for FIP in pitching. Triple D made up for a few of the lost points with their hitting, taking batting average and home runs. Runs came down to Sunday night and a McLouth homer gave D that category as well. FIP took the remaining 2 hitting categories along with the win.

TKOut 7 – Sportsboys 2 (predicted score: TKOut 8 – The Sportsboys 2)
Series Score: The Sportsboys 9– TKOut 10
It was an averge week for TKO’s pitching staff, but average was good enough for 4 points. Sportsboys put up a good fight, but only managed to walk away with WHIP. Hitting was close but the advantage again went to TKO as they took close battles in batting average, stolen bases and rbi’s. The Sportsboys took the runs category, and while both team hit a good number of homers, neither team prevailed here.

Big League Chew 5 – YellowFuzzy 4 (predicted Score: YellowFuzzy 6 – Big League Chew 4)
Series Score: YellowFuzzy 12 – Big League Chew 6
Fuzzy’s hitters must have been using tennis balls this week, ripping 13 long balls and taking 4 of 5 hitting categories. Stolen bases ended in a tie. Since Fuzzy broke out the tennis balls, Big League’s staff broke out the spitters and Vaseline and swept the pitching categories. The sweep was possible thanks in part to a Johnson save on Sunday night, and along with the pitching sweep came a victory for Big League.

So after 13 weeks, the standings are:

1 Sarnia Tigers 73-50-7
2 The Grand Salami 72-51-7
3 WHIP out your FIP 71-51-8
4 Soggy Bottom Boys 65-52-13
5 Fudpuckers 63-62-5
6 TKOut 63-64-1
__________________________________
7 D Dude’s Dodgers 58-64-8
8 YellowFuzzy 58-64-8
9 DUB 59-67-4
10 Big League Chew 56-68-6
11 The Sportsboys 53-70-7
12 WolfPack 46-74-10

The movers and the shakers:
Fudpuckers moves up from 6th to 5th. TKOut shoots up from 9th to 6th.
D Dudes drops from 5th to 7th. DUB drops from 7th to 9th.
Big League and Sportsboys flip flop between 10th & 11th.

Week 14 Preview:

There are many interesting story lines this week and some very intriguing match-ups. After a rare off week from the Sarnia Tigers, the top 4 teams have really bunched together in the standings. Coincidentally, those 4 teams face off against each other this week with the first place Tigers facing 3rd place WHIP and the 2nd place Salamis facing 4th place Soggy Bottom Boyz. First place is officially up for grabs this week. Both of these games will be featured match-ups.

Also, the theme for most of the predictions this week is revenge. 5 of the 6 teams projected to win, lost their week 3 match-ups with the same opponents.

Sarnia Tigers vs. WHIP my FIP- Sarnia 5, WHIP 4

When they last met, WHIP edged Sarnia 5-4

Pitching- Pitching will likely decide this one. Both teams have multiple starting arms that could go either way. The team that has the fewest blow-ups will likely take ERA and WHIP and the match-up victory along with it. Will Sarnia's struggling aces right the ship, or will WHIP's blue collar guys step up? Since Sarnia has 4 extra starts this week, he is favored to take wins and Ks. WHIP is favored to take saves, but that category is up in the air since Cishek and Parnell can go days between save ops.

Hitting- Things are a little more clear cut on the hitting side. WHIP has an advantage in RBI and SBs, while Sarnia has the edge in HRs and runs. BA will serve as another swing category.

Grand Salami vs. Soggy Bottom Boys- Salami 6, Soggy 4

When they last met, the Soggy ones crushed the Grand ones 7-3

Pitching- This one is pretty clear cut. The Boyz will ride 3 extra starts to an edge in wins and Ks, although Ks could be close unless Sharky and Liriano put up big numbers. The Salamis need a lot of help to compete in W's since 2 of their 5 starters face off against each other. ERA and WHIP should go to the Salami's along with saves.

Hitting- Most hitting cats are going to be very close. The Salamis hope to get off to a quick start with 5 extra hitter games on Monday. That could prove to be the difference in runs and RBI, which are both swing cats. The Boyz are also gambling by starting Everth Cabrera, who is set to begin his rehab on Tuesday. A set-back, or a longer than expected rehab stint could be problematic for the Soggy ones. With or without Everth, Soggy has the edge in Steals. The Salamis have the edge in HRs, so long as Puig doesn't decide to go off.

Dub vs. Wolfpack- Wolf 6, Dub 4

When they last played, Dub drubbed the Pack, 7-2

Is this the start of a hot streak for the Pack? We shall see.

Pitching- The Pack has 4 extra starts this week as they are punting saves. Wins and Ks should go their way. The Pack also enjoys a slight edge in ERA, but WHIP could go either way.

Hitting- Dub is very good at getting on base and stealing bags. Expect wins in those cats, but for the Pack to take the rest.

TKOut vs. D Dude- TKO 7, Dude 2

When they last played, Dude took out TKO 7-3

Pitching- This is Dude's opportunity to take control of the match-up. Dude has 1 more start and an equal number of closers. All 5 categories should be close, although Dude has no discernible advantage. TKO has the edge in K's and WHIP. Since both teams are employing a couple shaky SP options, this could really go either way.

Hitting- TKO's dominant hitting line-up give him an edge in HR, RBI and BA. The other two cats are too close to call.

Yellow Fuzzy vs. Sportsboys- Fuzzy 6, Boys 3

When they last played, the Boys beat up the Fuzzies 8-2

Pitching- Fuzzy has an edge in saves with the only closer in the match-up. The other 4 categories could go either direction. Sam does enjoy 2 extra starts.

Hitting- The Boys' lone advantage this week comes via the long ball. Fuzzy has the edge in RBI, SB and BA. Runs scored will serve as yet another swing category.

Big League Chew vs. Fudpuckers- Fud 5, Chew 4

When they last played, Fud chewed up Big League, 7-2

Pitching- Chew has the edge in saves, ERA and WHIP. Fud will ride 3 extra starts to an edge in wins and Ks, although Kershaw going twice could have something to say about that.

Hitting- Chew's edge comes in RBI. Fud enjoys advantages in runs, RBI, and BA. HRs will be the lone swing category in this match-up.

Good luck to all you revenge seekers out there. This will be a fun and interesting week.

I didn't realize Cain and Leake were facing off. Makes me feel slightly better about Liriano and Samardzija doing the same.

Here's kind of a funny thing: Reyes notwithstanding, that Marlins trade suddenly doesn't look quite so bad...who'da thunk it?
