Why do the Dodgers want Marmol? Can Feldman pitch in Camden? Will Strop wear his cap straight?

Would horses rather walk around barefoot? Is anybody listening to me? :gaah:

I have no idea why the Dodgers want Marmol. Was trying to figure that out earlier.

Its very similar to the Dontrelle Willis fascination. Every year, a new team signs him with hopes he can rediscover how to pitch and be an asset. Thing is, he is quite literally the worst pitcher on the planet. I don't get why any team would want that.

Well, here we go into the 8th inning of what seems like Kershaw's easiest start of the year! I know it's Kershaw and you don't sit your studs, but it's just really funny to me, that in Colorado, against a team he barely got out of the 7th at home against not even a month ago, he's breezing... and getting run support!!! LOL It is truly incredible, even though it's the best pitcher in the league, it's still incredible.

wait, that was just over a month ago, and it was also in Colo ... still, my point remains.

That entire line-up looks a lot different when Tulo is in it. The Rox are streamable on the road without him. Coors is a different animal, but a stud is a stud.

It was a very nice offer Tlance, and sorry for stringing you along, but if Peralta continues to fade, I'd be in another kind of mess. I'll look for weaker pitching elsewhere, instead of moving a hitter to get a stud.

Thanks though...

anyone interested in that fading Peralta? or any of my speedy OF? not looking for an ace, but would like someone I wouldn't drop next week.

I just realized that Peralta had come crashing down to earth recently, and off to the waiver wire he went (in 2 other leagues).

Guys,

Just so you all know, I will be on vacation next week, so I will not have a chance to do the week 15 preview. Hopefully my team doesn't die while I am away.

Just for the record, I am all for QS next season. I don't know if it is possible but I am going to see if I can figure out how many I have had this season. None of these bastards can seem to get a win but they all (except for Lincy; he is either really good or really bad) seem to be good at going 6, giving up 3 and not getting the win.

of course you know, once the switch happens, your arms will be going 8 strong innings with the W, but giving up 4 runs! fantasy gods are hateful...

I'm with ya on that, the only thing that bugs me is that Ryan Dempster has pitched like shit 7 straight times now, and he's got 7 straight quality starts. Of course, he can't get a fucking win either, so I guess QS would be the better way to go. It sure might boost his trade value.

I thought I posted this the other day, but anyway.......... Sam, we use quality starts in my other league. Give me a list of pitchers and I'll tell you how many quality starts they had this year.

I'd still think some sort of combination would be nice.
There's something to be said about the relief win :)
Often they are BS wins (yes, both interpretations), but some times, they're well-pitched, earned wins for a reliever.

I don't know how you'd combine them, as I'm only proficient in points styles. Both qs and wins are easily counted there.

A lot to factor into just dropping the W!! It may not be indicative of greatness (and certainly not predictive) but it still is easily one of the 10 key categories for fantasy purposes.

I guess there's no fake betting on Sunday. Too bad, I was all set to put 1000 phony shekels on David Price to take down those dark and dreary Danks.

Of course, that would be putting the jinx on Price, so i'm sure Philabuster is relieved.

I must have missed that somehow. Santana, Kuroda, Sabathia and Feldman and Holland. I'm sure Santana has at least 10. CC might have more wins that QS though..............and I do agree with Philabuster that aa combo would be cool but whatever...........I would add Lincy and Weaver to the list but Weaver only has 2 wins and 1 QS and Lincys wins probably weren't QS.................thanks Jim.

Hmmmmm; I put mine on Weaver and Kuroda today. I'm about 500 down on MLB and if it wasn't for the Bruins winning the NCAA World Series it could be worse. Wish there were V Bank accounts that I could stash my NFL betting money in before I make a really stupid bet.
