Really hoping for a good start from Verlander this week. 1 above average outing and I think I can get this done. If he gets shelled again, I have no chance.

I would play so differently in all my leagues if it was for money.
And I would have no fun. The joy is the league-mates, the dealing, the chatter, the tough competition, and winning match-ups.
I take this too seriously as it is haha... Money would absolutely ruin it for me. And if I took it even one iota more seriously, I'd be in trouble at home :0

I want to set up a charity league in my city next year....$100 a piece, maybe 20 teams...money all to charity, get local businesses to contribute prizes. But otherwise, I'd never play for money.
My problem is: that will be 5 leagues, and I'm stretched as is. Has anyone tried something like that? Idea just came to me a couple months back.

The only thing that keeps me from playing for money is............., money. I can't risk even a few bucks. I'm so poor that I am po, not being able to afford the other O and R.

Seriously though... I just looked at the Trading Block. Seems like most of us are looking for pitching. Gonna be hard prying the good ones away I think. I think I might just stick it out with A-Gon... and go the other route.

And, to think, you could have just cut him 5-10 ays ago, and picked up Raul "Imotep" Ibanez. I'm glad you didn't, as he just added a homer to my squad.

Mentally I can do it. If I had drafted him in round 11 or beyond I probably could, but if I draft a player in the first 10 rounds, I drafted him there for a reason. He's not hurt so I have to believe somehow that the suck will come to an end. even if it's for just one REALLY good month.

No such luck. From my other league, wanting Miggy for Headley and Heyward.

I will ask again, is it impossible for someone to offer you in trade 1 guy for your 2, 2 guys for your 3?

I know I don't see these really, but, if I did, I would likely be a more active trader.

Some of the best trades I have ever made have involved me giving up the best player in a 1 for 2 kind of deal.

That's your fault. You need to get your boss into fantasy sports. Once they get hooked some of those safeguards come down.

I did that with my last job and by the third year I was not only helping them with their rosters, I got out of Sunday work when playoff time rolled around. My friend who is a CPA did the same thing and he can now do set his team at work. Good times, now go corrupt your boss so he can become one of us.
