I've got Carl Crawford & Jake Peavy on my DL. Both should be back around the all-star break, but I've only got 9 weeks after this one so I've got to do something now.

Looking to package both along with Matt Joyce, Adam Lind or BJ Upton for a bigger bat (position not important). You can call it a dump trade or an act of desperation, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Who do you like going forward between David Price and Verlander?

I know JV has more value today, but I am not sure that he will be better than Price over the second half. I may be able to hold on to Gyorko from the PTBNL deal by making this SP "upgrade". Thoughts?

Just my opinion, but I like Price. For what it's worth, he says he feels better than ever, and JV's pitch counts raise a lot of red flags for me. That said, it really could just be "Kate Upton Remorse".

He should call Tony Romo. I forget who he was dating but once he dumped her he went back to his normal self.

No. Unfortunately, Benoit is out.

I either give Gyorko, basically for nothing (Melancon, Brothers or League, might have to do this anyway)

or, I deal Verlander straight up for Price and I get to keep Gyorko.

Essentially, upgrading him from Price to Verlander would pay my debt. Personally, I think I might rather have Price anyway.

Still not sure that he will go for it. He needs a hitter, but I know he would prefer to have Verlander.

Price vs Verlander too close to call for me. Esp if Gyorko has 3B eligibility, he's a really nice piece.

As for Romo going back to his normal self, that could be seen as good or bad, depending on your point of view.

I saw that. I have been trying to deal him unsuccessfully for 3 weeks.

I have come to realize that my $ league kind of sucks. People take too long to make decisions.

I would play so differently in all my leagues if it was for money.
And I would have no fun. The joy is the league-mates, the dealing, the chatter, the tough competition, and winning match-ups.
I take this too seriously as it is haha... Money would absolutely ruin it for me. And if I took it even one iota more seriously, I'd be in trouble at home :0

I want to set up a charity league in my city next year....$100 a piece, maybe 20 teams...money all to charity, get local businesses to contribute prizes. But otherwise, I'd never play for money.
My problem is: that will be 5 leagues, and I'm stretched as is. Has anyone tried something like that? Idea just came to me a couple months back.

I don't think I ever said A-Gon must go (did I?)... I'll be looking for the best offer, but if there's only one and the arm doesn't help me now, I'm not panicking.


Tlance, I would take Price and Gyorko over Verlander all day. The only thing that would stop me would be lingering soreness with Price, but he "seems" to be passed the issue.

Really hoping for a good start from Verlander this week. 1 above average outing and I think I can get this done. If he gets shelled again, I have no chance.
