In the Prospect league, Driaz showed why he was regular season champ with a strong all around effort in a 6.5 to 3.5 victory over Milk. Milk's team played well, but Driaz's power bats were too much. Driaz took both ERA and WHIP by very small margins, and the result again would have gone the other way if not for Doolittle's implosion earlier in the week.

Looks like he screwed us both Milk!

In the other Semi, Smitty edged Micro to punch his ticket to the finals and to the A league. Interestingly, Smitty's hitters failed to show up this week as he was only able to take the steals category from rival Micro. Micro's always stellar pitching let him down when he needed it most, however, as he was only able to manage half a point from his dominant pitching staff. One more K would have tipped the scales in Micro's favor, but it was not meant to be this week.

You guys are harsh! I ended up with the MLB HR leader, another in the top ten, 2 top 10 RBI men, two of the three best base stealers, the top 2 in OBP, the likely AL Cy Young winner, and #'s 2 & 3 in saves. ... what did all that get me? I barely made the playoffs and made a very unceremonious 1st round exit. Everyone in the league should be pleased if they ever won a single week better than 5.5-4.5! Nice season gents!

This sounds like my team last year. I ended up 3rd in roto points and was lucky to finish in 10th. That is part of the fun (and agony) of playing H2H.

Congrats to Jim and Driaz, our two champions!

Both finals match ups lived up to the hype. In the A league, Jim's pitching was stellar as always, but a large innings advantage afforded Big D a few points there. Jim's bats were led by Matt Kemp and Starling Marte. Aside from big weeks out of Miggy and Lucas Duda, D's bats remained relatively quiet.

As a result, Jim earned the hard fought 6.5 to 3.5 victory. Congrats, and have fun living in the crosshairs next season!

In the prospect league, number 1 seed Driaz also proved his team was best. The hitting cats were ridiculously close with 3 actually ending in ties. Driaz took the other two narrowly. On the pitching side, amazingly Carlos Carrasco was by far the worst pitcher for Driaz is week with a 1.80 ERA and 1.00 WHIP. Smith's pitchers fared well enough to win most weeks, but it was not meant to be this time. Driaz took the title with a 7 to 3 win.

Congrats again to both Smitty and Driaz on earning bids to the A league.

Great season boys, and e look forward to seeing you all again next year!

We will start voting on 2015 rule changes shortly after the new year and we will also need to replace a few inactive owners from the prospect league, so please speak up if you have recommendations on who would make a good addition to the MBBRL community!
