My favorite person today is Jose Bautista. 2 homers, and a stolen base too boot?

"Joey Bats, you are so money".

So I just traded Hisashi Iwakuma & Brandon Moss to The Sportsboys for Alex Rios and Scott Kazmir.

I wasn't winning with pitching so a change was needed (well, several changes are needed).
I don't know if Iwakuma will keep this up, but who knows if Rios will keep this up given his track record (I know I was waiting for the bottom to fall out last year).

As for Moss, he becomes irrelevant to me with the addition of Rios and if I didn't trade him I probably would have dropped him for a pitcher. Kazmir.....waiver fodder and I wasn't gonna nitpick over the second player.

Overall I'm happy. What do you think?

Excellent trade for both you guys. Fills a need for both teams, and neither of the second guys really matter. Most likely, anyway. Moss could possibly come in handy for insurance.

My humble opinion?
Might have sold low on Iwakuma and bought high on Rios.
But Rios has surprised me before

Iwakuma is a hard one to judge, and being it's his first full year it's hard to gauge his value. He did have good numbers in Japan but he doesn't have a track record in MLB and he doesn't have that brand name that can command a big name hitter.
I may have bought high on Rios, but given those two factors I'm not sure I could have gotten a better hitter than Rios in a trade.

And Rios has surprised me as well, like last year when I dropped him after the first two weeks (and kicked myself for the final 4 months).

Moss could possibly come in handy for insurance.
I've got Craig for 1B insurance, put I hated having Moss & Donaldson together in my lineup. Two hitters from a good team I can handle, two hitters from a bad (well, mediocre) team makes me uneasy.

Sometimes the best trades are those not made. Sam- Glad you backed away from our deal. Looks like I have Maholm for the long haul. I liked him as a later round pick and still have him in every league.

May not be wise but it looks like it will get me a win in my auction league. Hope it doesn't hurt long term.

Whoops, I meant: Hey Fuzzies, got the scoop? Rutledge down!

Rutledge sent down-he was struggling a bit. The Rocks sent him down to work on a some things.
The kid, LeMahieu, was playing so well in Colo Springs, they had to bring him up. Since he got to Denver he is hitting .400+ as fill in at 2B and 3B and his defense has always been solid. With Arenado at 3rd, Rutledge is geting squeezed. Throw in Pacheco and the Rocks are loaded in the IF. LeMahieu will be the 2nd baseman for the Rocks for a period of time now. I went to the game today and LeMahieu went 1 for 4 but hit the hard and made all plays in the field.

Pretty stacked OF too! -- I can't believe they would continue on like this without exploring trades for arms?? Oswalt isn't the answer, and they seem to have enough for a pretty good haul?

It is difficult to attract SP to Colorado, so those with a trade clause block the trade. Look what happened to Guthrie. Sucked here, all-world after he left. This is a repeated theme for SP that come to Denver. We have a few good arms in Colorado Springs. Chatwood called up again looks good and Pomeranz is rounding into shape. Whether we like it or not, hitting will be the answer to winning in Denver for some time.

Well, I say Rios as the guy has played the best all around for me this year but with my extremely shitty pitchers (didn't think they were bad when I drafted them) I knew I had to make a move. Given that Cespedes has pretty much played poopy and still has produced some decent power numbers, Hamilton looks to be starting to get better and Beltran just keeps hitting I felt this trade was more than fair and I'll just have to use my "Three Little Indians" in his spot (too bad I didn't start all three this week dammit). Anyway, if Weaver comes back and can be the Weaver I thought I was getting along with CC and Kuroda I should have a decent shot at wins and K's every week and now even an outside chance at WHIP and ERA. Will be punting saves from now on so if anybody is interested in Jansen let me know.
