Even though I hate proposing trades and then pulling them, I am pretty relieved I did that with the one I offered you. At this point, anyway. That said, it might be all downhill for Beckett from here on out.

Was it Beckett for Melkman?

I honestly think I need Melky more. I just need to wait on Wood, Cashner and Pineda and hope that Fransucko remembers how to pitch.

Desperate times....
6 RP strategy vs Rev this week.
I think anything less than 4 starts makes going with 6 RP risky. Not sure I'd gamble with just 3.

Nice win last week TKO. Thought it was a bad match up week for the Fuzzies and then my top two pitchers went about 8.00 ERA. Lucky to get 2.5.

Up against the top dog, Grand Salamis this week. Good luck Tlance but take it easy would you? Hate to get spanked two weeks in a row.

God no, it was Beckett for Swisher. Would have been another unwise trade to add to my collection, I think. I actually would have been quite happy with Melky. He is back in my good graces.

Good game Fuzz... Teheran wanted to make you pay for not accepting him ;)

...and I'm much happier with him, and much happier I dealt Verlander instead... sorry Jim

A League Standings-

1. Tlance: 53-21-6
2. Fuzzy: 45-34-1
3. Big D: 42-31-7
4. Jim: 39-35-6
4. Ram: 38-34-8
6. Treff: 40-37-3
7. TKO: 38-37-5
8. Sam: 36-37-7
9. Chef: 37-39-4
10. Paul: 28-47-5
11. Kevin: 26-48-6
12. Dub: 25-47-8

A League Recap:

Tlance 9.5, Kevin .5- Kevin did not get Crush Davis or Chris Sale into his lineup in time, and it cost him. The way Tlance's team played though, they only would have helped him gain 1 more point. Tlance extends his lead at the top in preparation for a brutal stretch to close the first half.

Chef 9, Paul 1- This was a big match up. Chef was able to get right back into the hunt with a lopsided win over the defending champ. The hits keep on coming for Paul as Fielder is now lost for the season.

Ram 8, Dub 2- Ram moves into a tie for 4th with his drubbing of Dub. His team is playing very well and looks like a good bet to make the playoffs at this early juncture.

Treff 7.5, Sam 2.5-There is still not much separating 4th from 9th, but this result was much needed for Treff. The strong win vaults him into the final playoff spot and leaves Sam on the outside looking in for the time being.

TKO 7.5, Fuzzy 2.5- Fuzzy lost a lot of ground with a terrible week, but the real story here is TKO. TKO has now beaten each of the top two seeds, yet still sits in 7th place. He could be the team nobody wants to see come playoff time.

Jim 5.5, Big D 4.5- This one played out as expected. Jim's dominant pitching staff swept the pitching categories, and Big D came 1 steal short of returning the favor on the hitting side. The end result was a narrow victory for Jim in the best game of the week.

Holey Moley, just saw the trade!

Philabuster continues to amaze me with what he comes up with, and it's a ballsy move by Sammy.

Prospect League Standings:

There was a lot of shuffling with some lopsided results this week!

1. Milk: 51-26-3
2. Redseat: 41-32-7
3. JD: 40-35-5
4. OBX: 39-35-6
4. Driaz: 39-35-6
6. Smitty: 38-37-5
7. Micro: 36-41-3
8. Foot: 32-38-10
9. Trudem: 34-41-5
10. Brock: 34-42-4
11. Molsan: 29-39-12
12. AZ Sting: 33-45-2

JD 9.5, Molsan .5- JD mashed Molsan in this one and moved up to 3rd place in the process. Molsan falls all the way to 11th place with the bad week.

Redseat 8, Foot 2- Redseat moves all the way to second as Foot's free fall continues.

Driaz 7, Trudem 3- Driaz could not quite keep pace with JD and Redseat, but the convincing win allows him to move up nonetheless.

Micro 6.5, AZ Sting 3.5- Micro was able to capitalize on a date with last place AZ Sting. Between his strong victory and some big losses by teams ahead of him, Micro was able to move back into relevance.

Brock 6, OBX 4- This loss really hurts OBX as so many teams behind him had big weeks. Brock earned a much needed win as he slowly recovers from the big loss to Milk a couple weeks ago.

Milk 6, Smitty 4- Milk edged Smitty for a big win. He has now built an 8 game cushion as he looks to secure the automatic bid into the A league.

Good luck to all and enjoy the holiday!

As always, great write-up, Tlance!

I'm kinda wondering what happened to Micro's team, I seem to remember he had lights-out pitching when we started.

Yeah, I wish I had accepted that one. Did not see it in time.:suds:

The good news is that you can have Swisher if you want. I am pretty sure he is still doing the back stroke in the free agent pool.

Good thing I read the recap before responding. Last check yesterday I was losing and was about to congratulate Big D. Good game and good luck Paul. I've had good luck using the team bullpen strategy in the past, never in a weekly format but success none the less.

Anyone in the need of an outfielder or starting pitcher? Looking for a CI, 1B is fine but 3B would be Preferable. Offers of a MI player would also be welcome but not what I really looking for.

I'm kinda wondering what happened to Micro's team, I seem to remember he had lights-out pitching when we started.

He got off to a bad start with both Chapman and Kershaw on the DL and his hitting is really not good at all, aside from Puig and Donaldson.

Still, he is very tough to beat when at full strength and I think he will eventually make the playoffs if his pitchers can stay healthy.
