Good luck Fuzzy. I guess I have to prepare my battleship for a Tulo.

Good luck to you as well TKO. My boys faded on Sunday last week- gave up a 4 point lead. I had them out doing wind sprints today to build up some stamina!!!

Who do you guys think will come up first, and when??

1. Oscar tavarez
2. Gregory polanco
3. Jonathan singleton

I think it goes Singleton, Polanco then Tavarez, with the first two in June and Tavarez a month or so later. But this is just speculation.

I also agree with that order Fuzzy listed. Polanco will be up one second after super two passes. Singleton probably as well, but he could be held back if he continues to "slump" (down to .280 from +.300). I just can't see Oscar up until late in the summer. There's a slight chance I guess, Adams and Craig could get platooned, or Bourjos/Jay get a free plane ticket, but it's the Cardinals.

Polanco and Singleton will come up within days of each other, but don't count on Singleton to make an impact. Taveras could be a ways away.

Week 7 Recap: All the games were close this week. The most lopsided result in either league was 6.5 - 3.5. As a result, there were not many big movers in the standings and the middle of the pack continues to be ridiculously close.

A League Standings:

1. Tlance: 44-21-5
2. Fuzzy: 43-27-0
3. D Dude: 38-26-6
4. Sam: 34-30-6
5. Jim: 34-31-5
6. Treff- 33-35-2
6. Ram- 31-33-6
8. TKO- 31-35-4
9. Chef- 28-38-4
10. Paul- 27-38-5
11. Kevin- 26-39-5
12. Dub- 24-40-6

Game Results:

D Dude 6.5, Paul 3.5- Big D continues to gain ground in the standings. His combo of Miggy and Stanton is boarderline unfair as he continues to overwhelm with offense. D's pitching was also good this week, so consider Paul lucky to have come away with 3.5 points.

Jim 6.5, Treff 3.5- Jim's hitters went off and both teams pitched well, aside from Kershaw. Had Kershaw not blown up, Jim would have scored a major blow out.

TKO 6, Kevin 4- TKOs hitters launched an impressive 15 HRs and he was able to bludgeon Kevin with a ton of mediocre innings to pull out 2 pitching points.

Chef, Dub 4- Chef scored a much needed win, but likely could have had an even bigger result if not for implosions by Gio and Bailey. The win was good enough for Chef to move up to 9th place and although he is still a few games out of the playoffs, this may be the start of good things.

Ram 5, Tlance 5- Ram survived the matchup with the top seeded salamis. This one was a double sweep. Ram took the pitching cats, while Tlance took hitting. There really was not much in doubt by Saturday.

The Prospect League recap will be out soon!

Thanks tlance as always!

As for Polanco, Singleton and Taveras I wouldn't be surprised if any of them were called up tonight even. Likely they're all waiting on Super 2 to pass, but each team has their needs.
Matt Adams in the last 4 weeks has a .275 OBP and a 1-25 BB/K ratio. He has to be the worst 1B in the game at this point. (I'm sure there's worse but offhand I can't think of any... Duda maybe?)
I love all 3 of these guys (Singleton the least) and it's just a shame none of them are up right now. Their teams need them.

This is why I'm holding onto Singleton...he can't possibly be any worse than Adams right now...can he?

Nice write-up as usual, tlance!

here, here Paul! Travis Snider has to be the worst lead off hitter I've ever seen! Almost as if they're just putting the position at the top to make the transition easier.

and yes, tlance, great stuff as usual... you can probably just copy/paste the part about my staff having a ton of mediocre innings!

The Pirates are trying to keep it fair. If McCutchen actually had guys on base when he came up to bat then they would win too many games.

Prospect League Standings:

1. Milk: 45-22-3
2. OBX: 35-29-6
3. Redseat: 34-31-5
3. Smitty: 34-31-5
5. Foot: 31-31-8
5. Driaz: 32-32-6
7. Molsan: 29-30-11
8. Trudem: 31-34-5
9. JD: 31-35-4
10: Micro: 30-38-2
11: AZ Sting: 30-39-1
12. Brock: 28-38-4

Game Results:

Micro 6.5, Molsan 3.5- Micro pulled out a much needed win against Molsan's strong squad. He was able to sweep the hitting cats, and if not for Kershaw's implosion, he could have had an even bigger win. He will look to build on this momentum in the week to come.

Smitty 6.5, JD 3.5- JD's pitching was absolutely horrible. His 6.63 ERA and 2.10 WHIP or the week are not going to help him win many pitching points. Smitty jumps up to a tie for third and JD will look to get back on track in week 8.

Brock 6.5, Foot 3.5- Brock rebounded with a big win and gets himself much closer to the pack. Hitting was very close across the board, but Brock's superior pitching gave him the edge for the week.

Redseat 6, Milk 4- Milk lost! His hitters decided to take the week off, but the pitching was still good enough to make the final result close. Redseat fell into a tie for third, but gained ground on both the teams ahead of him.

Driaz 5.5, AZ Sting- Pitching was really close, but somehow Driaz managed to take 4.5 points. Sting was extremely unlucky to lose this week as his team played pretty well overall.

OBX 5, Trudem 5- OBX failed to capitalize on the Milkspiller loss, but the tie will not hurt him. Both teams will look to get in the win column next week.

Good luck to all in week 8!

Cron, Master of the Universe! Yeah, I thought about it, but the Sciosciapath made me hesitate...

...on another note, I was blindsided by ol' Yan being on waivers, totally missed that. Pretty sure I'd have grabbed him and switched Lucroy to 1B in the hopes of getting some HRs in the lineup. Unless something changes, the lack of the home run ball is gonna kill me.

Yeah, I should probably wear a helmet so I don't pull all my hair out, but this Votto thing has me sketchy. At some point, a sub .150 average just has to get benched, right?

...and I believe it's *Crone*, Chef... like Crone's Disease.

So Votto's news sounds like a weekend return? Hmmm, maybe I'll flip flop on this Cron business.
