Yikes. Fuzzy, I truly, truly hope this trade works out for both of us.

That was one scary-ass trade to make. :hope:

First really big trade of the year for me in any league. I get to go see my new shiny shortstop tonight at Coors field. Go Rockies!!!

I prefer Chefs side of the trade as I don't trust Miller and Tulowitzki always goes down. And, since I predicted Tulowitzki would play in at least 150 games and all of my pre-season predictions seem to be going in the toilet, Troy is doomed to miss at least a month. :L

Chef, I'm not ignoring the trade you proposed in the other league, I'm just seeing it now. I'll get back to you real soon on that with a counter offer.

Lol, of course now everyone in print and on tv today are talking about how Tulo is going to be the MVP of the world...

...second guessing myself has begun! Did I sell too low? Will Desmond and Price come around? Will Reed get clobbered in Arizona? Should I have just stuck with him and enjoyed the run?

Ai yi yi...I'm never satisfied.

Taking up a collection. I'm gonna send Billy Hamilton a little care package consisting of Midol, Pamprin, Vagisil, Summers Eve, and maybe a few maxi pads with wings.

I like Fuzzy's side.

I know Tulo is risky, but I think Chef could have got more, either an elite closer instead of Reed or a larger talent differential in the SP swap. It is close though, time will tell.

Funny you should say about the closer- Chef proposed Cishek (who I really like) and I countered with Reed (who isn't bad).
Just back from the Rockies game- they have a show going on at Coors field between Tulo, Arenado and tonight, 5 hits from Cargo. And whats with the pitching by the Rockies at Coors Field? I am going to enjoy it while it lasts- hope it lasts into the playoffs. :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

You're right about the closer part, I should have stuck to my guns for Cisek or even asked for Rosenthal, but I tried to make it as fair as possible. Probably dwelled on Tulo's injury history too much. Price...man, I find it hard to believe that he is still not gonna be a stud again, unless there is some underlying arm problem we don't know about. The Ks are certainly still there.

Ah well, we will see...:noidea:

Cishek with 2 wins this week :wtf2:.....that shit ain't right :lame:

And Soriano, who everyone said had no velocity anymore and was going to suck, is a perfect 7 for 7 in save chances.

It's a strange game.

How do you guys feel about instant replay?

Maybe I'm old school, but I hate it. This should not be part of baseball. :nono: :nono: :nono:

I'm on the fence. Part of me wants to say, let's get it right... but the other part agrees, and says there's no place for it in baseball... or at least hope that it doesn't evolve into an electronic strike zone.

Sure liked seeing Girardi getting tossed the other night for arguing balls and strikes! Definitely something that's been missed.

Surely, the A's will keep Pomeranz in the rotation. How would they justify not doing so, is out of my logical realm.

I love it. I've always hated a clearly fair ball being called foul and vice versa. .A foul ball being called a HR, the bang bang force plays being incorrect, and most of all, the Phantom tag play on a 4-6-3 DP!!! The game is already slow and long. . What's another few minutes to get the calls correct?

As to TKO's comment on the strike zone. . I'm all for that too, if for no other reason than to finally have a consistent strike zone, that actually has a meaningful definition. No umps currently call the high strike, some give the outside inch or two, some the inside, some both. As a guy who played for 20+ years, throughout college, the most frustrating part was learning what the umps will call on any given night. If human nature/error dictates that the strike zone can never be consistent, than by all means find a way to call balls and strikes with technology.

Speaking of balls and strikes. . How the hell does King Felix pitch 6+ innings and not get a single K??

Interesting offer.... lots of risk/upside for us both.
Good luck with Kemp, hope he hits 25 more for you.

See, this is what I like about you...you are very diplomatic.

Oh... and I love replay.
I really thought I'd hate it, but it really is nice to have calls be made correctly.
The "human element" I thought I'd miss? Seems silly to me now. Game is better now imo
