yahoo is famous for using terrible defaults... not just stats, but in position eligibility...

with that said, i like that they use OUTS and not INNINGS.... i may take that...

For comparison...
My home league is a 15 team points league. 300+ is a great week. Low 200's or less is a bad week. We start 13 hitters, 5 starters, 2 relievers (but we do team bullpen rights during the draft).

Hitters
Strike out: -0.5
Walk/HBP: 0.5
Single: 1
Double: 2
Triple: 3
HR: 4
RBI: 1
Run Scored: 1 (solo HR+RBI+R=6 points)
SB: 1.5
CS: -0.5
GDP: -1.5

Pitchers
IP: 0.5 (1st out .17 -->2nd out .33 -->3rd out 0.5)
W: 9
L: -3
QS: 4
Strikeout: 1
ER: -1
CG: 2
SO: 2
S: 6
H: 3
BS: -4
BS/BSW: you don't get the points for the Bull Shit Win, but your blown save is erased

2024 results, top 3
Ohtani: 713.5
Judge: 625
Witt: 622

Skubal: 511
Wheeler: 494
Sale: 492

2023
Acuna 720.5
Freeman 590.5
Olson: 585.5

Strider: 531
Cole: 504.5
Gallen: 460

It might look skewed to bats (let's not forget the ridiculousness of Ohtani, Judges, and Acuna seasons...Freeman to Strider isn't as gaping), but in a weekly game a pitcher can have two starts. A good start with a win is mid-to-high 20's (pending the K's)... which is also a good week for hitters. Great weeks by hitters (30+) are more than great weeks by pitchers, but 2-starters that pay off are usually 40+... so it balances on a weekly basis

The W vs QS debate is tough for me.

6 innings, 8 hits, 3 er, 8 walks, 0 k = QS

5 innings, 10 hits, 10 er, 10 walks, 0 k = W if your team scored 11 before the 6th and stayed ahead

I just find it important to not punish pitchers too often for too little.

I may be leaning towards the win especially after increasing points on either outs or innings.

Really need something out of my relievers this afternoon.

League Average can’t go beating me twice this week.
