That's insane for a first time DUI....even if it was coupled with careless driving. I absolutely don't condone drinking and driving, but that goes a bit further than "setting an example". 90 days would've done that for a first timer.

And he gets two years probation afterwards? Jeez!! There are people down here in FL that get multiple DUI's before judges finally even give them jail time.

I'd say it's a appropriate. He hit a parked police car and injured an officer.

Oh my bad. I didn't know about that part of it.

Guess I could've brushed up on the article .....I thought it was more or less just a straight DUI w/reckless driving.
