They are about football to a lesser extent only because they haven't been good very often. And there is a little bit of a rivalry between MD and WVU. I remember my friends being super arrogant heading into a game against WVU and then MD had like half a hundred put on them. Like 05 or 06 around there.

I'm from the South Central part of PA. Live about an hour from Baltimore and about an hour and a half from College Park. I had 6 roommates in college 5 of them were from MD. Along with other friends from that area. All big Terps fans. Don't get me wrong they are some of my best friends but they were a little arrogant/delusional most the time. Lol

We were in a recession when I separated from the Navy, so it was the job I could get. But I don't regret it. Maryland was nice.

Wasnt a bad little border rival kind of game. Never really had that... HATE feel to it like one would enjoy but, not terrible either.

Maryland game always seemed to be the measuring stick for how our season was going to go. Beat em and we generally had a solid/good season (we usually played early) but drop that one and the season always seemed to go bad, which now that I think about it makes sense.

Those assholes win once and suddenly they are top of the world. I’ll never forget how many fights almost happened after they beat us in 2013. An in 2014 after we beat them for about the 5th straight time at Byrd. I really hate Maryland and was praying Texas would come back and best those assholes.
