Antoine Vermechelli with a shorthanded tally cuts the lead in half (good hustle by the BJs)

Just hearing you utter those words makes me want to put you on suicide watch..

lol...To quote Herm Edwards, "You play to win the game" - There's no guarantee that tanking and getting lottery picks is a sure fire formula for success. It worked for Pittsburgh and Chicago, but hasn't worked so well for Florida, Atlanta, and Columbus. Besides, the Flames only have one pick in the first 100 selections for the 2011 entry draft. Doesn't do much good to tank this season.

Plus you don't want Bobby Clarke to talk shit about you.

I actually don't think Chicago tanked, I think they made awful personnel decisions and threw money at guys like Adrian Aucoin and Nikolai Khabibulin.

They happened to have a guy (Dave Tallon) who made some great draft decisions and trades, and it paid off for them. Tallon raped Philly and Boston for Sharp and Versteeg, and picked Keith in the third round.

All the tanking in the world doesn't do you any good if you have a dunce of a GM.

Hence... you lose a few games, get the media in attack mode.... I'm just sayin'... :D
