Personally I cant say I take cup to seriously occasionally he will say something useful but usually its just a rant Marty has shown class on several situations

Marty is, first and foremost, a team first guy. If he wasn't, he would have signed a huge contract the last time around, since the likes of Turco, Dipietro got more and he is by far a better goalie than those two. Unlike someone else who seems to be all about I and less of we (cough, cough...Kovolchoke...cough, cough).
Like said he has an ego but doesn't let that get in the way of what is best for the team. This was why at the Olympics he was supportive with Luongo taking the pipes....not to mention it was in Luo's home building.
It is great to see Marty's confidence coming back and start believing in his ability again instead of having the though of age creeping into his thoughts.
