I thought you didn’t like him cause of clubhouse issuesI wanted Jazz Chisholm at the deadline but a lot of fans thought we could do better. We haven't and Jazz would fill the need for a 3B right about now.
Just my opinion but Mayo is a go for it move. He may end up like Kelenic where he is a top prospect who flames out but IMO with how it appears ownership is content with not spending to win trading for a huge upside guy is what I’d do.Ya I would pass on Castillo for Kjerstad. Not enough. Now Kjerstad and Mullins I would do and that helps Orioles with some payroll.
I don't know enough about Mayo to say I would do Miller or Woo for him. Plus that doesn't help with our cheap ass issue.
Same with Gilbert/Kirby and prospects for May/Kjerstad or Mayo/Westburg.
I would hold to my guns and say it is Castillo and maybe a prospect for Mayo/Kjerstad or Mayo/Westburg. I kind of still like Mullins in a deal.
I am not in a hurry to trade just to trade. Either it makes sense for this year plus a couple more or just forget it and roll with the same crap hitters we have. With our self-imposed low budget, I want to keep all the top prospects because we aren't getting good in their prime in the next several years so that is our only chance.
He did much better for the Yankees than I expected; looked like an Alfonso Soriano clone with 11 HR and 18 SB in only 46 games. He'll be a 30-30 guy and with that short porch in Yankme stadium, a possible 40-40 threat.I wanted Jazz Chisholm at the deadline but a lot of fans thought we could do better. We haven't and Jazz would fill the need for a 3B right about now.
