I still say Arozarena is the best option to trade. His numbers are average and now he is making $11.3M he could get cheaper players back. I hate the idea of always having to trade quality for cheaper quantity but that is where we are as a franchise. Always have been actually just harder to stomach since we are actually competitive at the same time.

Somebody on twitter mentioned Arozarena for Casas saving us over $10M then using that to get Bregman. Not my dream trade, but I think they need to look at it something for him.

Gilbert might be next on the trade list. He could get a haul of young, cheap talent back.

The guy I feel kinda bad for is Cal. They are abusing him. He was in 153 games last year. On the open market he would be worth $20 million a year easily. By the time he is free agent eligible, he will be all used up.

Along with everything else they should have done this off season, they should have signed a part time catcher who hits left-handed pitchers well. If they want to get maximum, longterm value out of Cal, they should be catching him about 110 games, DHing about 30 games, and resting about 25 games. But, clearly they don't. They are going to use him up and then let him walk.
