Man, that’s a tough one. Cause it actually IMO is great value but man that’d be tough cause you are suppose to trade guys like Gilbert for top prospects. It’s kind of the same thing of you go to Gilbert and Kirby and offer real extensions and whichever one says no then trade them.

It’d be hard to swallow but yeah cause the M’s aren’t giving up any prospects so they can still make a deal. And in a way with that number #3 pick on paper they are going to draft that Florida State pitcher who is going to be Gilbert or Kirby’s replacement.

Honestly, I don't know. I always pictured them trading Gilbert by this point but getting back like 3 MLB ready players. Say to the cards for Gorman, Walker and Nootbaar or Donovan. Never thought for two expiring vet contracts. I guess if you are going for it, then yes but we are nowhere near going for it.
