I totally agree, but we have to live in reality. Unless those guys don’t mind taking a short term deal I can’t see it. Walker and Bregman I would be cool with. Santander, to me, gives me Teo vibes. But he’d be an upgrade so they can trade Randy.

I made this exact same point earlier in the week on twitter. They mentioned him and Santana for the that all important leadership role. I want leadership from the field with a guy knocking in 100 runs a year. That is the leadership they need, but that leadership is more expensive than an old vet on the bench in a part-time role. We already have the Mitch's, that is enough leadership for any bench.
