Me too. This surprised me. Maybe he passes through waivers, but it seems odd just to add a 5th catcher you traded already.

Yeah to me it seems that they are banking on Garver to have a bounce back season and they have zero faith in Harry Ford taking a big jump this year.

It's a good thought. I wonder what the contract says and how much longer it has till it expires.

I’m not sure on the lease but I’m assuming renovations will be coming up soon. I think it was like 2017 or 2018 when the last ones were. And Manfred is taking every offseason to threaten a few teams.

Yeah to me it seems that they are banking on Garver to have a bounce back season and they have zero faith in Harry Ford taking a big jump this year.

I see Ford dropped out of the Top 100 and he isn't on Baseball America's Top 10 catchers. Good news on Garver, I don't know if it is possible to have a worse year.

Yeah it seemed Ford didn’t take the big offensive jump prospect people thought last year. But I’m still hoping he is like Craig Biggio where he is super athletic and if they switch positions he can use his athleticism more.

With Garver I think we are hoping but it seems like they are counting on it. Sure he can’t be as awful as last year but if he is going into the season as the backup catcher then how much of a chance is he really going to prove last year was just a bad year. What 4-6 AB’s a week seems tough. But on the other hand with how bad his season was last year he shouldn’t be anywhere near the DH role.

It should be...interesting? At this point, I still have no thoughts of buying the streaming that has Mariners. Maybe I change my mind, but I truly don't care. I am not still on here for the Mariners. I enjoy the conversations and inputting info for others to see.

I am not up to 14 pills and 3 shots per day. 7 pills a day alone for blood pressure. SO, if I watch these assholes it might actually kill me...lol.
