I agree baseball has many cracks in it, but in the end they are the most profitable than they have ever been with revenue streams out of this world. The TV deals are a mess, but that is more of their business issue not MLB's. I mean I hate how it is run, but the country seems to love it because they are spending the money left and right for it. Hell, even our lousy M's have profited $80-85M each of at least the last 3 years. Not bad for a 'small' market.Eh, would disagree. The financial disparity hasn’t ever been bigger than it is let alone allowing a super team to be created by skirting the CBT. Baseball is currently is a rough spot because of the regional tv deals and this Dodgers crap. Manfred is trying to nationalize the RSN’s which won’t bring 1/10th of the money from tv the Dodgers and Yankees get so there is an issue. Then you have the Dodgers becoming a super team which will lead to fan apathy. I think it was Milwaukee and Arizona last year Manfred threatened with their stadium issues. But with fan apathy the next stadium situation has a good chance to become Oakland. Which speaking of which is going to be a big issue with the CBA as well because zero chance the A’s will be in Vegas in 28 like the MLBPA agreed to.
Not saying MLB is in a bad spot at all, but they have about 15 cracks in the foundation and Manfred seems to not give two cents about the actual sport. Every time he talks he honestly sounds like he thinks he is the NFL commissioner not MLB.
I get what that means .but I don't know.So from rumors out there the $15M budget isn't a budget but required spending from MLB. The money reportedly isn't even the M's. It is MLB money and they are required to spend it on players. Sheesh.
But I know this..I don't want to.pay..attention..I get what that means .but I don't know.
What it really..means .
So I guess..I'm lost at this point...
Does it mean ..thats all ..so they.
We're broke..I don't know.
IMO their profits are a little bit misleading though. They have made the most money yes, but their prices have never been higherI agree baseball has many cracks in it, but in the end they are the most profitable than they have ever been with revenue streams out of this world. So is that on top of 15-16 million? So from rumors out there the $15M budget isn't a budget but required spending from MLB. The money reportedly isn't even the M's. It is MLB money and they are required to spend it on players. Sheesh.
Prices are higher because people willing to pay them. That is economic growth. Will it continue? I never thought it would last this long so???IMO their profits are a little bit misleading though. They have made the most money yes, but their prices have never been higher
Their tv deals are a mess which is where the whole salary cap/floor/CBA is going to intersect.
Fan apathy is going to intersect everything though if they don’t nip this super team stuff in the bud. Fan apathy will lead to stadium fights like Oakland. Going to lead to more tv issues cause they don’t have a centralized tv deals. And if Manfred gets his way of eliminating most of the minor leagues IMO it’s going to leave smaller market fan bases into even more apathy cause at least at the moment big prospect lists give “hope” to fans and cover to owners.
Not saying I’m right at all I just fear Manfred is like like the old Pac 12 commissioner Larry Scott. Where everything is humming along great on the outside but he keeps allowing cracks to develop but talks and acts like he is the SEC commissioner then bam.
