That was the hope before he came over. They weren't 100% sure how he would do in the states. He has proven he is the real deal so far.

Yeah and it’s why I think trading Emerson isn’t off the table. He and Ford headlining a package should be able to get any player they want. Celesten, Farmelo and Laz are the three guys I want them to hold onto.

Agreed, but my whole argument is I don't trust Jerry. A player he wants she only cost a 7-10 player but he will overpay for it regardless. In my head, I don't see a Rooker or Roberts worth both these guys. Just because he screwed up for the umpteenth time in the offseason, we shouldn't overpay in prospects now.

Fair point, Rooker, Robert and Alonso aren’t really worth both IMO because they all have big flaws. Plus, the Mariners are two bats away from being WS contenders and they want to overpay it should be for that one missing piece.

I would hope that Celesten is off the table for any team….The only player right now on the Ms roster/minors that’s untouchable in my opinion.

I don’t think anyone is untouchable but if it is Celestin then they shouldn’t be giving up another prospect, people like Canzone or Haggerty level and some scrub pitcher
