they just packed..the

Aqua sox.with a lot of really good players

nice but..at .modesto is still
Ty Duvall..........Catcher......from... Vanderbilt
  • Born: 7/11/1997 in Cincinnati, OH
Matt Scheffler........Catcher...from ...auburn.....
  • Born: 2/06/1998 in Kirkland, WA
  • i like the catchers ..on this team

Justin Lavey....3B..from......
  • College: Louisville
  • Born: 9/23/1997 in Kenosha, WI

Noelvi Marte70...ss..up from AZL...so that is good

Brett Rodriguez.......SS..and i think ..utility....
  • College: Wofford
  • Born: 5/06/1998 in Queensbury, NY

Cesar Izturis Jr.94.........SS..utility.......who has been around a couple years for the mariners...doing..some injury duty..in his 2nd year

Robert Perez93.....1B.seems better in a real league situation..than hanging out...at AZL

Dariel Gomez..........prob..1B /dh..but he has been around the minors a while
Juan Querecuto........SS.......will just try..to just be catching on...he was dsl..then AZL..so he needs to just try to catch on.....or go back to AZL..and try again next year
outfield
Cade Marlowe...............LF...hit 300 at rookie..he is prob the best outfield..here
Trent Tingelstad......RF,/ LF..hit 240 with 5 HRs..at rookie
Alberto Rodriguez......RF.......up from AZL

mariners could use a real..CF..guy..on this team..but..Cesar Izturis Jr.94..may be able to cover.other than that...they look ok...so far

they..will prob have to..use pitchers to ..play a game...lolol
but..they have a good start...if they can fill some in

if he does well ......this year he will deserve..to go to AZL......but the pandemic...did not help him...he is now..21
no other..mariners pitcher..at DSL..has that good of numbers..and i would say..they need to be at least..as good as what is above
and..8 of..17..pitchers..are..DSL..rookies

for position players
they have 5 hold overs

Jose Caguana...........Catcher...has the best numbers....and they are ok for a catcher..but not great...4 HRs..ave.is.. well.........slg and ops seem..better than other guys

5 hold overs..and 7..DSL rookies.............the guy above.......is the only catcher......they could use..1 more
while the hold overs will help the rookies...they really need to hit the ground..running..and git some good prospect's..now that marte..and..some of the other guys are gone.

..it seems decimated...AT..dsl...but we will see how the rookies do.........

I will tell you what, it is some bullshit they only allow day off ticket purchases. I totally get it because the Governor and Pierce County aren’t on friendly terms but Jesus. At least do a lottery like hunting or something.

a good article..about..international..guys...the mariners were..suppose..to get this guy OF Victor Labrada,(A cuban guy..)..........i dont see him on a roster..and have herd no news...that..was in january......

but now baseball amarica has mariners linked to an other cuban...1b/of..ranked at #5..on international

On Tuesday, Baseball America released their annual international signing bonus big board, this edition for the 2021-2022 signing class. The Mariners are listed as the favorites to sign two of the top 30 prospects on the board. While we were aware of Dominican shortstop Martin Gonzales, ranked no. 18 overall on the board, the big surprise came with Seattle listed as the favorite to sign no. 5 overall prospect Lazaro Montes, a 1B/OF out of Cuba

llBaseball America 2021-2022 International bonus board is out; Mariners favored to sign two, including no. 5 overall

The only caveat is these players aren’t among the organization’s top 10 prospects, using The Athletic‘s Keith Law’s list of the club’s top 10 prospects from February. Maybe some of these players you’re not aware of. But by the end of the 2021 season, you just might be.

Let’s get to it.

LHP Adam Macko, age 20 (will start in Low-A Modesto)

Macko is originally from baseball hotbed Slovakia (I’m kidding), who played his prep baseball in Alberta, Canada. He had 32 strikeouts in 23 innings after turning pro in the summer of 2019, outperforming his level in two stops. There’s a lot to like here, starting with Macko’s command for a young player. He’s 94-97 mph from the left side, which is intriguing. He’ll be a part of Modesto’s starting rotation.

RHP Taylor Dollard, 22 (Modesto)

Dollard was the team’s fifth-round pick last summer, and his stock shot up after he moved from the bullpen to the rotation at Cal Poly. He’s been a bulk strikes guy who hasn’t always had an optimal strategy with his pitches in the past, Weiner said. But he has been good in the spring with the shaping of his pitches and location. He’ll be a part of the rotation in Modesto.

RHP Natanael Garabitos, 20 (Peoria, AZL)

I will admit it: I’ve never heard of this guy. But it sounds like a lot of other people haven’t, either. Garabitos signed for $5,000 out of the Dominican Republic to fill innings for the Mariners’ affiliate in the middle of the season in 2019. He’s hit 100 mph a handful of times this spring, and his slider grades as an above-average pitch. He’ll pitch this summer for the team’s Arizona League affiliate but could move if he has success there.

RHP Levi Stoudt, 23 (High-A Everett)

Stoudt became a name after an impressive performance in the fall in Arizona. He’s been a bulk strikes guy who has recently made big strides with his slider, getting as much as 15 inches of horizontal movement on the pitch with a plus-plus change-up. He’s a patient and very cerebral player, Weiner said. He’s a great case of someone who made improvements in 2020 (and the spring of 2021). Stoudt will be in Everett.

RHP Matt Brash, 22 (Everett)

Brash was the player to be named who came over from the Padres in the deal that sent reliever Taylor Williams to San Diego last August. He’s another cold-weather player (Ontario) who pitched at Niagara University. He was 98-99 mph in each of his outings this spring with a plus breaking ball, Weiner said. The slider looks like it will be a big weapon for him in 2021. He’ll be part of the six-man rotation in Everett.

3B Tyler Keenan, 22 (Everett)

Keenan was the Mariners’ fourth-round pick last June out of Ole Miss who will be making his pro debut this week. Keenan’s bat is his carrying tool. “He can flat-out hit,” Dawson said. He’ll likely share time at the hot corner with Austin Shenton, but the Mariners expect his bat to play at this level. A mature hitter, Keenan has good contact ability and power to all fields.

INF Jordan Cowan, 26 (Double-A Arkansas)

Cowan turned 26 last month but is a career .270 hitter who held his own in major league camp this spring and then rolled that into a big spring performance when the rest of the minor leaguers showed up. Maybe Cowan’s ceiling is of a big-league utility guy if he hits enough. “He’s looked like a different version of himself,” Dawson said, pointing to how hard Cowan has hit the ball and also his ability to get the ball in the air more often than before.

C Carter Bins, 22 (Everett)

Bins didn’t hit a whole lot during his pro debut in 2019 (.208), but his defensive game has come a long way since, as was evident during the spring. Bins, who played three years in college at Fresno State, did hit the ball hard and in the air a lot this spring, clearing the batter’s eye at the ballpark in Peoria twice, which is no small feat. He’ll see a lot of time behind the plate in Everett this season.

OF Robert Pérez Jr., 20 (Modesto)

The son of the former big leaguer by the same name, Pérez is beginning to make a name for himself in the organization. He hit eight home runs during a three-week stretch this spring in Arizona and might have been one of the strongest players in camp. He went up a level in Arizona to play against older competition and more than held his own, posting exit velocities north of 105 mph. He’ll spend a lot of time in the outfield in Modesto.

INF Milkar Perez, 19 (Peoria, AZL)

The word is already out on Perez, a physically mature third baseman who looks like he’ll hit for power from both sides of the plate. Perez stood out in the fall during instructional league and showcases one of the strongest infield arms in spring camp. “It’s a rocket,” Dawson said. He won’t turn 20 until October. He will start this summer in the Arizona League, but don’t be surprised if he moves up at some point.

I’m just curious if they convert some of these arms into the pen. Graveman and heck even Edwin Diaz (before he was a Met) has led to the ability if are an average starter but can throw heat, you can be a solid bullpen arm. If they can get a bullpen from within, man that would help raising the budget for the rest of the team.

He might be the guy I am most interested in from the list. Makes me wish I was still down in AZ.
