When he went nose to nose with that veteran catcher at the dish about a month ago, I knew he had the warrior spirit right then.

SumTin WONG plays like he could care less and Caballero plays like his life depends on it.

Yea he had a rough stretch of 3-4 outings over a 3-4 week span.

Pitching is all about confidence to make the right pitch in the right circumstance in the RIGHT LOCATION. It's literally impossible to precisely locate every single pitch and it have the correct movement on it that that catcher and pitcher predict. Even then if the batter is sitting dead red fastball or looking for: splitty - or slider or change up or cutter etc etc and is loaded up for it and looking for that particular pitch in a certain location, he can crush it to the gap or over the wall if he times it right and barrels it up.

We have 3-4 starting pitchers just about as good as any compared to any ball club you wanna pick and compare.
They all 5 ( including the ugly sister Marco ) must stay healthy and they must get run support. Bullpens run so hot and cold their is rarely a stretch of more than a week or 2 where they just lock it up nightly and never encounter a blown opportunity every couple series.

The opposing hitters are paid 100's of millions of dollars to get base hits and home runs ( they are good at what they do )

The division is still up for the taking with TX who is sure to cool off some and HOU doesn't have its typical early season massive divisional lead.

we can 'get by' with our starters in the field as Teo will surely come around and get his avg up to .240-.260 ( please )
Our glaring hole is DH ( a signing of a legit bat is a must by the ASB or its too little too late ) Our other glaring hole is the one in Julios bat.
He has got to have more games like last night where he has multi hit games. The HR's will come, he just needs to get base hits for now. If he ends the season with just 20 bombs and a .275 avg he will have done his job for us at the plate.

Really had much higher hopes for Wong but the dude just doesn't have it and has to go with the emergence of Cabby.
