I went t lunch with my brother and his best friend to watch the first half of the game and we were saying that too. Then he was getting squeezed and we thought uh oh. He has survived so far.

You never know which Marco you are going to get. The 1-3 run Marco that gets you into the 6th or 7th, or the one that gives up 6+ and the staff waits way too long to pull.

Today we had the decent version.

France has nearly caught up to Kelenic for team avg lead as well.

I mean K is helping him out by falling back down from his earlier avg that was around .300.

The real problem is the M's are dead last in baseball in production from the DH hitting a dismal .146

The teams around the middle of the league are hitting around .248, a full 100 points higher.

I don't care how hot the others get, you can't get that low from your DH and get somewhere.

Don't get me started on how infuriated I get by the moronic "DH by committee" approach. I read a lot of the analytics stuff and there is nothing I've read that would justify essentially having a fourth outfielder, utility player or catcher rotate at the position.

Can it be used as a way of giving someone a day off? Sure. But you're not building a complete lineup unless you have a guy who will be regularly playing that position.

The only reason to justify a DH by committee approach is if your roster is so full of exceptional hitters that you have to find a way to get them all in the lineup, which is not a situation the Mariners - or most teams - currently have.

I feel this is a stupid question, but is this the same guy who called today's game? Today he looked awful in some of the calls he had.

The one that stands out is when Kelenic took a called strike three that looked substantially below the strike zone.

Quite surprised by the weekends results, hell of a series win!

Biggest moment of all has to be the first walk off of the season and hopefully the catalyst to an epic run similar to that of the 14 game win streak last year. Don’t need to get as many in a row, but you take the Yankees 2 of 3 locking up an 8-10 home stand and we are gonna take the attention of the league.

Long way to go but as the temperature has risen so has the Mariners bats, LFG!!!!
