The schedule is a cake walk the rest of the way I believe he does it. And the road to the SB for the AFC will have to go through Denver.

Why do SB rings have to even be brought up in this thread? It's about Manning's shot at a TD record. Sure, meaningless(somewhat) in the quest for a SB, but breaking a record is an exciting thing. Well, unless you're breaking the record for most losses in a season. ;) :(

Because the Pats trolls can't help themselves. It's become a reflex action when anyone says something good about Manning.

Yeah, with 41 so far and four games left it definitely looks as if Manning has a great chance to break the record that Brady set in '07. Much more important, however, is that Denver's season ends better than did NE's that year. If that happens -- and it is admittedly a big if -- then Manning will have earned two rings since Brady last earned one.

Manning took his foot off the gas after beating Marino by one td out of respect. The record should be his. And while I have a grudging admiration for the Patsies, I would love to see them going to Mile High in the playoffs. :agree:

Not really sure what you mean, but PFM has one more ring than Marino. Pointing to Marino having never won a ring only exemplifies how foolish it is to judge a QB solely on the basis of how many times his team won a SB.

Um, yah.

That was his point.

If Manning averages 2 TDs the rest of the season per game, he'll have 49 at the end of the season. I believe he will at least average that throughout the last 4 games. He's got a great chance of breaking the record. As far as passing yards, I doubt he will catch Drew Brees's record. He will probably end up in the top 4 all-time single season passing yards or better. We will just have to wait and see. The best thing about the whole scope is that Manning didn't have to rack up stats like Brady did in 2007 to get to 50. Brady had to win games by 30+ points and rack his stats the whole season to get 50 TDs. Manning has been taken out 3 times this year extremely early in the 4th quarter of games. That's probably around a full game Manning was taken out time wise. That's incredible. If Manning stat padded like Brady did, he would probably have 44TDS at this point and another 300+ yards easily.
