This day is probably the craziest day for rumors. Believe about 5% of what you hear.

Houston is doing exactly the right thing. If they passed on a potential HOF pass rusher to reach for a QB (again) they would've regretted it for a decade (again).

Mallett's a nice option considering the alternatives.

Houston has a lot of picks. Might make sense to use one of those, say between 135 and 181, to acquire Mallet. I don't think doing that would at all preclude them from still drafting one of the top rated QBs, though.
