That was all on Rich Paul....
UHHH NO.

saying stupid shit like "we arent going to do things like Cleveland" when they are coming off of 4 finals, and you are coming off of 6 straight seasons without winning a playoff game is pretty fucking arrogant.

magic is rich has many other things going on, and doesn't want the headaches. not sure why this is such a big surprise.
He for me was really gonna get judged by what type of team that put together in future years....but if he isn't all in, then maybe it's the best thing to get someone that will be all in

I seriously doubt this.

Don't overthink it. Look at what Lebron's doing off the court. Being in LA makes it easier.

Do you really think Lebron trusted Magic, a guy who's never worked in the front office, to pull off the moves the bring in quality help for Lebron?

LeBron has to be just pining for the days of Cleveland and Miami where, while it got wild at times, at least it the environments were professional.

I have the same feeling for LeBron in LA I had for ARod when he came to Texas.

He made his own bed. He can lie in it.

Short Buss could've still been running things and I think Lebron still would've headed out to LA.

exactly--- LEBron went to LA becuase his family wanted to live in the sun and he wanted to expand his business. That much is crystal clear at this point.

The only way it isn't is if you had your head buried deep in the sand.

We could have gotten Lebron to join the Lakers if we were running the Lakers.

Magic Johnson had very little to do with that IMO

I talk a lot of shit about Dan Gilbert, and rightfully so. But god, if I think Dan Gilbert's presence makes a much more stable front office, then you know what that says about Magic.

they need to get rid of Pelinka too, and start with a clean slate and bring in a whole team of professionals-----

it would also help from the standpoint of starting fresh to negotiate with other teams instead of carrying the Pelinka/MAgic arrogance/baggage into future trade talks.

Give me guys who just look up analytics and know the actual game. Guys that feel like they're lazy sacks of shit for only working 10 hours in one day. Bringing in former star players to run a franchise like they did with Magic is a recipe for disaster. Love Wade to death, but if we handed him the keys to the kingdom without any front office experience, I'd be pissed.

unfortunately , it's a definite fear...:L

Magic needed to go. Own a team sure. GM? Nah not after being a top 5 player all time

Lakers need to move on and it would have been embarrassing for magic to stay. He’s taking the blame and thats fair

If you want a dumpster fire the Bulls are way worse. This draft coming is loaded tho

Doesn't want the headaches?

Sh!t... if that's true, he never should have accepted the job in the first place.

And this is a terrible way to go out regardless of the reason(s). He should have tied up any loose ends and finished his business.

i have no idea what agreement he had with buss, do you? did he guarantee a championship?

maybe his quitting is better for both parties for various reasons the public is unaware of.

the situation is probably more complicated than we know. but how often do hall of fame players work out in upper management?

jeanie buss likely knew what she was signing on for.
