why should i doubt her?

magic's a jock, not an upper management executive. anyone who knows magic knows that.

It may very well be how she feels.

But we'll likely never know the actual truth, because if she was pissed about it, she couldn't say so. It would make things look even worse than they already do.

My guess is that she wasn't at all happy with how he went about it, but also probably understood.

until she says differently, no reason to doubt her statements. i don't think magic was ever anything but a high profile interim for the job, in her mind, but she decided to give it a shot anyway.
