I think a trade to Florida would be a taylor made solution for Vancouver, matty...
Only one problem, Florida has to agree to it.:

USA Today reports Florida's refusal to part ways with prospect Nick Bjugstad is holding up trade with #Canucks for Roberto Luongo.
/caman tallon ... do your old team a solid
How about Gudbranson instead of Bjugstad?!?
/wait, who said that?
hell ... why not both
Promising Florida Panthers prospect F Nick Bjugstad has decided to stay in the NCAA for the 2012-2013 season
wonder if we get him now
You may want to stay away from players who played NCAA hockey in the state of Minnesota. You've already got Ballard and Raymond...

Bjugstad is a 20 year old 6-foot-5, 215-pound center - explains #Canucks interest and Panthers refusal to part with him.
cant we throw in Raymond as part of the deal
I'd guess the Canucks are waiting on the Doan situation to pan out. If they do get Doan, you'll probably see their demands for Luongo lowered quite a bit. There is no sense in giving away Luongo until you take on salary that makes it worthwhile. A FA signing of Doan could be considered part of the "trade" for Lou as they'd then have the salary cap space. If Doan chooses NY, PIT or PHO, I'd guess that the Canucks keep Lou (as he doesn't seem like he'll be a huge distraction in the locker room and he'd be great insurance for Schneider) until the trade deadline when more possible suitors could be in play. My humble opinion anyway.
It makes sense. I just don't think there's a big demand for Luongo right now. Besides I think the Panthers would be making a mistake by acquiring Luongo. Markstrom deserves a chance to be the #1 guy. Toronto has the bigger need, no question about it. Gillis wants the moon. Both teams should wait him out. I bet he changes his tune come the end of training camp, especially if the Canucks sign Doan.
