Actually, Braxton Miller overthrowing a wide open WR for a TD in the final seconds is the only reason you have a win over OSU this past decade.
Fickell is starting to pull 4 star kids in that tiny area. I don't think MSU has any. It would be a lateral move, but Power 5 is Power 5. Money talks.
That really sucks for Cincinnati, but money talks. Prater was the highest-rated QB to ever commit to a G5 school. Too bad they'll not get to see him play in front of his hometown fans.Additionally, MSU AD Bill Beekman was scheduled to fly from Cincinnati to State College, PA to interview a Penn State assistant, but instead Beekman flew straight back to East Lansing after meeting with Luke Fickell in Cincy.
Report: Plane for Luke Fickell interview heading back to MSU
And per the story linked by belcherboy above, Fickell is apparently bringing to MSU his defensive coordinator and his 4-star QB recruit as a transfer. Supposedly Fickell spoke with Magic Johnson last night.... methinks Magic Johnson did some 'boosting' to get all three of them to come to East Lansing.
Maybe I'm being overly-optimistic, but I don't know that he would do that to OSU. Then again, I didn't think Fickell would leave for MSU, so who the hell knows.Talk about Coombs going down to Cincy if Fickell leaves. That would suck
Yeah, I didn't think mSU (right now) was a job that Fickell would leave for either.Maybe I'm being overly-optimistic, but I don't know that he would do that to OSU. Then again, I didn't think Fickell would leave MSU, so who the hell knows.
Don't feel bad, MSU. You aren't even close to the first program spurned by Luke Fickell and fam.
The biggest and only P5, I think, but definitely not the first.
Hard to argue. The campus culture was the main reason he turned it down. The lawsuits and the issues surrounding the program.
No doubt. As great as a coach that Dantonio was for MSU, turning the program around. He really drove it into the ground before leaving and then screwed them over by waiting to leave a day before signing day.Hard to argue.
Tiny?
Cincy area football has a lot of talent
Sorry if that was out of context. I just compare them to Ohio State; who always grab all the talent.
