Where would that 2005 Sugar bowl winning team have ended up without Pat White running the offense? In the UL game where he came in due to injury he showed leadership. WVU was down 24-7 when Pat White entered the game, scored 17 unanswered points to tie, and won in triple OT, hardly raw, the team fell in behind him and he led and was the face of WVU football for the next three and a half years.
Pretty sure the Sugar Bowl was the Steve Slaton show.Pat White was 11 for 14 for 120 yards..not exactly lighting it up...and I've seen numuerous games where the back up has come into a game a rallied a team....
and again...pretty sure Steve Slaton set TD records in that UL Triple OT game with 6...Pat White was 5 for 11 for 49 yards passing...11 carries for 79 yards to be exact...
So if that are the games you want to piont to...STEVE SLATON was the leader of that offense!.
