Once again, it was the Philly players who were the first to bitch and complain about the refs and no calls in the series. Ruff had no choice but to respond and make his own comments when reporters kept asking him about it.

Still doesn't change the fact that he's one of the most respected coaches to people in the NHL World.

I think both sides agreed officiating was horrible that series, but if you look at some of the penalties that were called as opposed to non-calls, it was complete horseshit (no pun intended)

How was he being a hypocrite?

Reporters asked for his opinion about how the Flyers players were complaining, and he said that he could complain as well about some of the stuff that was going on, but he didn't.

After that, he then proceeded to say what those things were.

If the Flyers players didn't bitch first, Ruff wouldn't have said a thing in that situation.

I never bitched about the penalty because it's the rule. I just said I hate the rule, and Miller, after swinging his stick two-handed after the hit has a lot of balls to cry about it. As far as I'm concerned, players should get fined/suspended for intent on something like that. And as the rule stands, yea, if my goalie gets run I'll have something to say. At least if my goalie takes a two-handed swing at someone, I'd agree he should have been penalized.
