I agree. Like I said if Miller was playing well it wouldn't be something anyone would bring up. Since he isn't the media talks about this garbage.

On NHL on the Fly they were saying the Sabres retaliated with hits. They showed Chara going down from a hit. Bottom line is if your goalie gets hit or run through the net like he did later in the game his teammates better make somebody pay for it. Somebody on the Sabres should have fought Lucic. I don't care if the guy loses or not. The respect he will gain from Miller & the rest of his teammates would be worth whatever happens.

A little off topic here. Can you imagine what it's like to be Tyler Seguin right now? I mean the kid comes into the league as a rookie & wins the Cup. Now in his second season he's leading the Bruins in scoring & near the league lead in goals. I hope he realizes it's not supposed to be this easy.LOL

Its unbelievable. I'm due for another jersey, might be Seguin. He sure as hell makes it look easy, lol. You're right though, he got dealt a pretty sweet first couple seasons. I had a feeling this was going to be a big year for him. I want to see him and Lucic together more. They crash that net big time. If it wasn't for Recchi, I dont think he'd be playing anywhere near his play right now.

Many might say he was rushed a bit. However, Seguin had very little pressure on him. He was surrounded by very talented players & a number of vets like Recchi to help him along. It obviously made a difference because he showed signs late last year & during the playoffs.

If it was a Canuck that did this. everyone would fucking cry dirty and call for a 10 game suspension. Goalies come out that far suck it the fuck up if its a incidental collision. if its intentional which it looked to be from Lucic then the right call is made. The only people that should sit in the penalty the box the longest is all the Sabres players on the ice and feel shame. to not go after Lucic with all the ferocity of a caged animal is pretty sad.

this could rally Buffalo or could hurt them in the long run. soft responses like that will be remembered in the playoffs when Boston and Buffalo meet (karma dictates this playoff matchup)

I see goalies come out of the net to play the puck all the time, and a player knows that he can't take an intentional run at them as per the rules in place right now.

It doesn't matter if you think that goalies should be fair game or not, all that matters is what is the current rule right now regarding that situation.

Miller is already pissed off and frustrated as it is, so I can understand why he tried to take a swing at Lucic with his stick. He's still human after all, and that was a moment where he let his emotions show. Was it right, no, did he hit him, no.

I agree that the goalie should be fair game outside of the crease however that's not a change that I think will ever be made. Even if the goalie was allowed to be hit, you still probably could have gotten Lucic for interference.

IMO Miller should get a one game suspension. I know he was upset, and understandably so, and he didn't make contact, but still you can't be swinging your stick at guys like that, and especially not a goalie stick. Gotta keep your temper under control even when something like that happens.

And you take the teams namesake (sabre) and swing your stick like one,you pathetic piece of puke.

Players should be able to level any goalie that roams out that far.What the fuck is the problem?Lack of protective equipment?

I may be wrong, but I believe goalies used to be fair game for clean hits, but they changed the rule. And the highlighted from 4thstreet is spot on.

No hate, but to bitch and moan after the swipe he took after the hit is pathetic. Why was there no slashing call with intent to injure? Personally, I think ANY goalie who leaves the crease to play the puck should be fair game. the rule is bullshit. Goalies have more protective gear than anyone else on the ice.
