I could care less about other teams lol.

But there odds of falling out of the top 5 decrease by getting that number 2 and they cant fall to 6. But yeah Bulls climbing to 3 would be interesting but I don't see that happening realistically, look at the Cavs schedule

View attachment 201173

Sure, but who are you targeting beyond the top 3? I don't know that 5th vs 6th is going to be a big difference necessarily.

Celtics can't trade Kyrie unless he agrees to a S&T. I doubt he will, as if he is already set on leaving, he probably already has a team in mind to use cap space (I assume) without taking away from the roster.

This is unrealistically so just making a point - player for pick. C's if they could, would in a heartbeat. But all this depends on need and all that. Just saying, player for player a lot of teams would give up a star or borderline star for Zion.

If I hold that pick, I'm not trading for any of the above.

Yeah not saying the team holding the pick would trade it, just what would an established team with a star be willing to give up. I'm just trying to gauge where Zion's individual worth right now is previous to him being drafted. We all know it's high, but damn.

Teams that would not trade their star imo...

Giannis
Curry
KD
Lebron (still put him on the list but with his age it's possible)
Harden
Westbrook
Paul George
Kawhi
Lillard
Simmons
Embiid
Towns
Doncic

Maybe you could add a couple other players depending on need of team, etc. (I didn't put AD on there bc obviously N.O. would trade him for #1 bc of the circumstance)

Unless that borderline star is very young with a lot of upside left, the team holding that #1 pick is very unlikely to make the trade. To really determine his value, you need to have both sides agreeing to the trade.

If the Knicks get the pick, do you think there they would trade down with anyone beyond the #3 pick without getting a superstar level player in return?

I think they would trade the pick for about half that list I posted just now. Probably only a handful of players. Sushi posted what teams would trade for that pick (of course you need both sides to agree) but if we are going that route...then that list shortens and gets a little more complicated obviously.

The pick would transfer after the lottery. The pick is top 5 protected, so if it moves to 4 or above (can't hit 5 really) it stays with Dallas.

idk..hawks have won 3 in a row. dallas has a very small chance of catching them.

Here's the Hawks remaining schedule: Blazers, Bucks, at Spurs, Sixers, at Magic, at Bucks, Pacers. Looks like a 7 game losing streak to end the season (maybe they edge the Blazers).

In typical Wolves fashion they start the tank way too late. They could be in a way better position by now if the had read the writing on the wall that everyone else could easily see. And with an interim coach there would have been a lot less push back about it.

Memphis/Dallas keeping picks, it's going to be close. The bottom of the East isn't winning anything in the 1st round.

Milwaukee - Miami/Orlando - potential sweep
Toronto - Brooklyn - might be a lot of close games. BKN winning one most likely.
Philly - Detroit - sweep

As of right now, I believe Memphis has an 85.8% chance of keeping their pick at either 1-4 or 7-8.
Dallas has a 37.2% chance of picking 1-4.

I wouldn't give it that. It's tough to find another victory for the Hawks given their remaining schedule (all playoff teams). It will take an upset, for which maybe Portland is a decent chance.

Lakers shutting down Lebron. TANK MODE ACTIVATED!

I think getting to 8th is a serious possibility. Would gives us a 6% shot at #1 and a 26% shot at getting into the top 4. Really need a pick that high for a trade asset. They're currently 10th, 3% at 1 and 13% at top 4. The way the odds are this year, I really think someone from 6 to 10th is gonna jump up.
