I'll tell you one thing, I sure hope the announcement is tomorrow morning. I could use a bit of good news as I am going in for stage 1 of my root canal tomorrow afternoon

So, realignment this summer? Right? Columbus or Detroit coming to their rightful place in the East? *Please be Columbus*

they were suggesting WPG would stay in the SE this season, and then a full overhaul for next summer*.

*when they also can incorporate a Phoenix move :think:

OK, so if they move Columbus (which makes the most sense based on geographical placement) Winnipeg would easily slide into the Central out West with Chicago, Minnesota, Nashville, and Detroit. Not too far from each other really. BUT, if it IS Columbus coming East, could you really put them in the Southeast division? I suppose it'd be a simple solution instead of messing with the Atlantic. It could get really messy.

That would just be horrible for those players. They could get a re-alignment done in a month. Easily. We have an entire offseason yet to think about it. They could put 5 guys on this who would map out the best possibilities in a week then debate about which makes the most sense for 2 weeks, and BAM we'd have a decision. But making the trek from Miami to Winnipeg all the time? Heck, Winnipeg to any of the SE division teams would suck.

Dreger still moaning on his Twitter account (the fool just doesn't get it):

It's interesting how an accurate account of what's going on in Wpg is perceived as a campaign to stop the NHL's return. Just silly.

Nope, that's not it at all, It's pretty clear your pissed because you got scooped by Stephen Brunt and you've been constantly downplaying the Jets chances of returning and trying to poke holes at Brunt's credibility.

At least we don't have to look far to determine who put the twit in Twitter (actually, I think it's a tie between you and Damian Cox).

His account is actually quite funny. He was threatening to block people a few days ago.

Of course when the deal is made official he will be the first one to trumpet that he "Knew it all along"

NHL will use the relocation fee to fund the Coyotes losses until they work out a deal with Hulsizer or anyone else

i say they have at least 2 more years in Glendale

<Heavy Breathing>

This will be a day long remembered. It has seen the end of
Atlanta and it will soon see the end of the Coyotes.

</End Heavy Breathing>

I understand the lack of support in Phoenix and Atlanta. I believe teams need to return to the roots of where the game was discovered and played.

However i do feel bad for the true fans in each of those cities who embraced, supported and loved the game we all enjoy so much.

I still dont think Phoenix is going to stay put. I believe they will be moving within the next couple years. Just not showing any signs of growth.

I feel terrible for them as well as the employees of the teams. I dont want to see teams moved and I dont think everyone should come to Canada (I do think Quebec would support huge however) i just look at phoenix and see year after year of failure and think about how successful teams will continue to revenue share with them (a team owned by the NHL) and have them compete for the same free agents with the successful teams own money.

that team loses so much money. i guess they have one year to step up so the fans have their last LAST chance.

Nashville and TB seem to look pretty steady. We'll see how they are in a few years. But Florida has got to go... Between sucking ass and having horrible attendance, I think they are next after Phoenix. After that, the NHL would/should be in pretty solid shape.
