yep word is we are getting an MLS team? Idk, either way it sucks but I guess nobody wants to see you play when you trade away your franchise player(Kovy) and go on a big losing streak the 2nd half. Not being able to beat Carolina and Tampa Bay when it matters certainly doesn't help. Idk if I'll continue to support the Winnipeg team or find a new one yet. I'm definitely not rooting for a division rival that's for sure.

The Atlanta Thrashers to Winnipeg situation has narrowed to a point where it's quite possible there could be an announcement as early as Tuesday.

However, according to sources there is still considerable legal work being done which may require another day or two to clean up.

If there is no announcement Tuesday, the next likely target would be Thursday.

Once an agreement has been reached, True North is expected to launch a season ticket drive.

So, what number of season tickets would you consider to be successful? The MTS Centre holds just over 15,000, I think if they could sell 10,000 season tickets, that's a damn good start.

Somebody was suggesting that the ticket prices in Winnipeg would be pretty reasonable for the first season back (in the $35 to $125 range)

ATL had 5000 ... I heard the goal for True North is 12000 full season tickets ... with half season and other miscellaneous packages they want to hit the number that will qualify them for revenue sharing (i think 13,100?)

WPG lawyers signed off on their end. ATL lawyers doing their due diligence now. Soon as they sign off, deal is done, pending board approval.

If ATL lawyers sign off today, announcement tomorrow morning. If ATL lawyers don't sign off today, drags out another day or two.
