This might not be a popular opinion on this issue but I'd trade someone on the defensive line for some picks with one of them being a first rounder. Other ways to get better... fire Fisher, Boras and Snead. Fisher shouldn't have made the move to Los Angeles. Extending Tayvon for the amount that it was was stupid and handicapped us like you said. Those are just a few things off the top of my head.

Well, the only guys to trade on the D-line would have to be Brockers or Quinn... No way in hell you trade Donald(of course lol)

49ers got 8 in the box on 1st down and sometimes 2nd down. Gurley isn't superman
Boras has some of the worst playcalling I've seen and that says something. The guy very rarely changes things up and teams feast on that.

The 1 LB defense is pretty funny tho.

The sad part is, even with all this supposed speed out there, they're getting beat around the ends and by QB runs. It's not even runs up the gut.

I disagree. I think everyone is expendable for the right price.

you'd have to keep Tavon at this point....but get a True #1 somehow.

Bills can't seem to find a consistent way to use Watkins, trade for Tavon? Hell, throw in a pick.

It's so sad watching the other 3 teams tonight be able to run an offense and hit receivers in stride. This team can barely manage a 3 yard completion, and even then the WR has to stop and wait for the ball, letting the defense close.

Donald is the anchor, you keep him and Quinn as Quinn already signed an extension. Brockers can get the hell out.

no no no...I STILL have nightmares of when we traded away Bettis...I don't want to live through that again, trading a guy away and him ending up in the HOF :suds:

I'd hate to lose Donald, but I'd also hate to continue losing while paying him a record contract extension.
Exactly! What good is it doing him or the team if they continue to lose with him on the field? Might as well get a good package for him because teams will absolutely lineup to get him.

But at least trading away Bettis eventually opened up a space for Faulk (after the bust known as Lawrence Phillips). Those GSOT teams wouldn't have worked nearly as well if we had ended up extending Bettis.

Jesus christ, throw the fucking ball down the field or call a play that does. Britt keeps getting open on 10-15 yard routes, keep exploiting it!

Never know what would've happened...Like you mentioned, you're talking about a few years difference there. Could you imagine Bettis and Faulk in the same backfield? Talk about Thunder and Lightening  :suds:

Where's Mike Martz when you need him? At least he wasn't afraid of opening up the playbook early and often.
