Il liked DY a lot but he didn't fit in Gruden's offense. He playing time was down to next to nothing last year. He is the kind of guy you want though.

My biggest disappointment was how they didn't find ways to use him outside of STs

Yeah this was an easy move to see given his lack of playing time. Have no idea why but he was clearly not in Gruden's game plans

The why is Gruden does not use a FB in his offense. I liked DY as a person a lot but as a player he was not dynamic. In today's NFL he did well to play 7 years. Especially a guy he came out of that famous football factory Villanova as a LBer.

Like I said earlier I am sad to see him go because he is a high character guy but I understand why they aren't resigning him.

He was our version of Larry Centers and we really didn't utilize his skill set. We kinda blew it with him.
