Football is not for the weak, either physicaly or mentally. Fight back, don't give an inch, earn respect.
Damn straight! He should have threatened to shit in someone else's mouth. That's how most people earn respect!

none of the hazing shit makes martin or any other person a better football player.
it doesn't make him tougher... it just makes him think that the team he's on and the people around him are crazy ass unprofessional morons.
If I was Martin I would have just been like...."Pretty hard to shit in my mouth with my foot so far up your ass. But good luck to you Richie you crazy fucking bastard. I will buy you a cup and maybe you and someone else can play two douches and a cup in your spare time."
Incognito was a douche and went too far, it was not about hazing as much as getting on a mentally weak player and toughening him up for the NFL season. There are goign to be DE's and LB's getting on Martin's ass like crazy the rest of the season. I can already see it when Martin comes back, there will be a game he plays against the Jets or soemthing where someone says somethign to him, he has to take himself out of teh game due to hurt "feelings".
I think the goal of this entire thing was to see if Martin would fight back, but it was never intended to leave the lockerroom. Get tough, fight back, earn some respect.

I thought that was a great read. Very sensible remarks by Dockett.
Listen I am not condoning what Incognito did by the way he did it. I sort of agree with the initial reason for it from the caoches, but I think they got the wrong caretaker to "take care of" Martin. Incognito is a complete asshat, what he said and did was beyond what should have happened.
However, Martin needed to not have such thin skin and fight back.
Cincy you say I would have been halfway through that line before Incognito skull F'd me...but if I am saying that back to him, I am prepared for the bull and ready to go. You think Incognito is goign to go on a killing spree starting with me because I am calling him on his bullshit? If that is the case, Incognito definitely need psychatric help and needs out of this league anyways. If you are going to get on someones ass, you had better f'n prepare they are not going to take your shit and may come back at you.
If you can prove to me that Martin has a phobia of bullies like some people do to tight spaces, snakes, heights, etc...then I will give in. If he doesn't have a phobia regarding bullies, then just cold cock the fucker and let him know you are not goign to put up with his shit. Come at me, I will come right back at you until one of us is no longer on this team.
In Martin's case, he has physical evidence to support his side of the coin if punishments were to be handed down. He just says hey, this douchebag kept harrassing me, wouldn't leave me alone, I got fed up with it and punched the f'er to get him to shut his punk ass mouth. Here are the texts and messages he left me in my defense. I got to the point I was not goign to ignore him anymore and decided to take action.
Now, it is expected that Incognito is going to go ape shit, have a mental break and go to the mess hall and grab a butter knife and try to cut my guts out through my ass, then maybe that needs to be brought up to management a little sooner.

Look, all I'm saying is that your not him, and he's not you. He is a guy who's quiet by nature, in just his second year in the NFL around some of the harshest locker-rooms he's probably ever been in, and on top of that, you have one hell of a psychopath threatening you at every turn. The last thing you want to do is to "tattle" to coaches, but eventually, mentally, you simply can't take it anymore.
It's easy to say "well, I'd stand up for myself" or this or that or the other, but the truth is, until faced with that exact situation, no one knows what they would do.
Okay. I will conceed. But in my opinion, if you are a big ass mother f'er that plays professional football and guys are pushing you and swinging towards you every day (in the trenches), you should have the balls to swing back once in a while as a man if one is right up in your face (off the field).
I bet Adam Jones at his size wouldn't put up with that shit from Incognito and would have at least attempted to kick the shit out of him. Otherwise you ride your posse up in dat house and your boys take care of that punk ass bitch. lol
It isn't like he is not used to physical contact by some big ass mother fuckers. That is all I am saying. So we can quit the debate on this, because I am basically agreeing with you on the part about Incognito and him handling things very wrong, and about the coaches getting the wrong guy to carry out the "discipline", but where we disagree, I feel Martin should have pushed back as a professional athete in a very physical sport and as a man.

Except that the other veterans in the locker room were also extorting money from rookies. You really think anyone is going to stand up for Martin? Your out of your fucking mind. Also, what does Martin gain from punching a guy who violently threatened him and his family. Setting him off? Great fucking idea.
