That's why the GMs make the big bucks. They are supposed to figure this stuff out. I am hearing mixed things about Goff. Some say he's good. Others say he is overrated and not worth a high 1st round pick

yep, it comes down to the right evaluation, leading to the right selection.

In the case of a QB, it is harder to evaluate due to the intangibles that can't be measured. Plus, if you're wrong on a QB pick, it gets more scrutiny.

Yea, that is true. Of course it depends where the QB is drafted. If you use a top ten pick on a QB pick and he busts, then there is alot of scrutiny. If the pick is a 5th rounder, probably isn't going to get alot of attention. When you look at the list of 1st round QB busts over the years, the list is pretty long. Then you have QBs like Aaron Rodgers who almost fall out of the 1st round. Just shows how difficult it can be to pick the right QB.
