That sums it up.

With the weapons we have, he can't do shit with them.

You guys do have a lot of weapons on offense, but give the Cards a little credit. Their defense is pretty good. So I wouldn't say it sucks, just an off day and a road game isn't easy to win in Arizona.

If this was the first time we've stunk it up, you'd have a point. However......

I don't know if it is entirely Lombardi but it is definitely retarded. Plays are overly conservative early and very easy to decipher.

Reminds me of the Waterboy when the other coach is thumbing through "Football for dummies" on the sideline laughing that the play calling was exactly the same as the book.

One of the things I have been trying to figure out all year is if Lombardi is being conservative to rest the defense?

Plenty of time to be conservative AFTER you have a big lead.

Quit giving Lombardi a hard time -- he is a rookie OC and he is still developing.

Linehan's offense wasn't any better, you guys just have selective memories. Linehan's whole game plan was to show everyone how smart he was to the point he outsmarted himself. Then he would get desperate that they were losing, and throw it deep to Calvin. This year Calvin hasn't be Megatron. He definitely didn't look like himself today. Our offensive line definitely pass protected better last year though, so there is that to consider.

I hated Linehan and am already starting to dislike Lombardi. This definitely isn't the New Orleans offense we were promised. It doesn't look anything like the kind of offense the Saints run.

Bamacards,

Detroit's offense added Golden Tate and spent a top 10 pick on a TE, that has finished top 5 in total offense the last 3 years.

I believe, prior to this game, we were ranked 20th overall in total offense.

We have one Coordinator (Teryl Austin), who has taken a defense that has struggled for a long time and turned them into one of the best defensive units in the NFL.

The other Coordinator inherited one of the best offenses in the NFL the last couple years and turned it into an absolute disaster.

Really?? Take a look at the number over the last 3 years compared to this year. I'm not sure how many times Stafford has been sacked this year, but I'd bet they have surpassed the total number of sacks in a season over the past 3 years, already in 2014 (sorry, if that is confusing)

I think Linehan had better blocking schemes, but his offensive play calling was just as predictable. That's why our offenses were so bad in the second half of the year. DCs figured it out pretty easy. I expect the same thing to happened to Dallas down the stretch

I think coming from New Orleans, we all assumed we'd have a guy who would call plays similar to the Saints. Plus he had a relation to Vince Lombardi. Except he's calling plays like Vince would have. In the 60's.
