They're still 1st rounders, and cheap young talent is important when you have too many expensive vets, but it's a trade-off.
I agree.....but it'd be a lot different if they were top 10-15 and they won't be.

Not sure how you are devaluing picks so that's on you. But what I see is Rams gave p a QB that lead them to SB, the just paid a lot of money and two first-round picks and a third-round pick to the Detroit Lions for Matthew Stafford. What has Stafford done, where has he lead them? I like Stafford but I am unsure he is that much better than Goff.

I'm guessing you haven't seen enough of Goff as Rams fans have. Stafford's career stats are comparable and/or favorable to Andrew Luck's, only without the surrounding talent. If this trade had been made for Andrew Luck (if he was healthy and still in the league), people would be acting differently (Luck is a few years younger though). Stafford is the fastest QB to 40000 yards (for now). Of his 72 wins, 36 have come on game winning drives. Lions have the fewest rushing yards in the league since 2009, so no running game to lean on. In the Lions' last 50 games without Stafford, they have won 6 games. He made a big difference for that team; the team just wasn't constructed well enough for them to get over the top and be a consistent winner. We shall now see if Stafford can step up on a better team (which I expect he will). He has a 2 year window to earn an extension.

I don't hate Goff, and hopefully he does well elsewhere, but he's paid too much for his declining production and had soured his relationship with McVay. Rams have made a point of late of getting out of players they want gone, even if it costs them some cap/assets. Gurley, Goff, Peters, etc.

The future pick devalue bit is something I remember reading a while back, but different sites do it differently. Some just give it a middle of the round value, but that doesn't make sense when projecting the value of a pick that should be lower than that before being devalued.

So what are the Rams suppose to do? Not try to fix their mistakes? Stick with Goff and keep pounding their head against the wall?

These Pats fans got spoiled rotten, they think everyone should follow the Patriots cheating ways. The Patriot way only works if you have the goat at the most important position. Lets see how good the Patriot way is now the goat is gone, right now, they can't even make the playoffs.

It’s also kinda silly to lol at another teams mistakes when every team in the nfl makes mistakes all the time

The debate over devaluing of pics is only somewhat accurate for the current year. Once this seasons draft is complete those traded pics have the current seasons value. This devaluing addresses numbers it doesn't account for the talent gained once those picks are used.

YES, currently $31M over the projected cap.

Funny how no one is addressing this. It's the Howie model of kicking the can down the road. Soon to bite them in the ass. There window is very short like Phillies was and one of the other NFCW teams.

Quick some go look at the Rams pick from 2017 and shoot you could probably go all the way up to 2023 while you’re at it

You know, this is the first time I've seen people trying to devalue picks that will happen within the first 32 picks of an NFL draft. People need to put down Madden 21 controllers and realize in 2022, that first round pick will be worth a 2022 first round pick. Just like how you thought last year a "2021 first round pick" had less value because it's a pick for a future draft. It will be a higher pick, but it's likely to be a top 30 pick, none the less.

But it is the Detroit Lions... history has told us that they are likely to draft their next hot dog vendor at Ford Field before anyone else in the first round.

werent you the one who started the LOL at the Rams when we traded for Ramsey?

I mean.. your last 3 late first round picks were sorry. Which is probably why you traded those 1sts for Adams right?

btw do you all need anymore of our coaching staff? That’s funny
