If I wanted to debate Oregon's merits about things unrelated to CFB, I'd go to the appropriate forum. Seeing as this is the CFB forum, that would be the only thing to discuss.

Please, continue to elaborate as to how Minnesota is inferior to Oregon the past 30 years.
Athletic Budgets are almost completely dependent upon a school's FOOTBALL program. So obviously Oregon's FOOTBALL program is not up to the task, which is pretty pathetic when you consider how few athletics programs Oregon supports.

So you are ok with Oregon's inability to make money from athletics? Oh wait, sorry, seems they made something like 200 thousand, lol.

just curious. Are you counting the money they get from the Big 10. If so, counting Minnesota’s share of money generated by Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Nebraska, and Wisconsin and a few others is pretty funny.

Minnesota's football revenue is about 8 million less than Oregon's. Keep flailing.

From usa-today.com (10/13/21) ncaa finances: revenue & expenses by school

This is gonna be hilarious, revenue's listed

# 1- Oregon $391,769,609

# 27- Minnesota $119,280,297

Now here's expenses. And pay close attention to this one, it's a doozy.

Oregon $120,884,588

Minnesota $124,818,508

Notice anything weird about those numbers? Like Minnesota's expenses are more than the amount of money they bring in? Oregon doesn't have that problem.

I have no illusions of grandeur Badgers will get NCAA Football national title in my lifetime if that makes you happy. College football is dominated by the bigger programs and I realize that. Would have been nice if Badgers could have won 2015 basketball title... unfortunately I doubt Badgers get back to basketball title game again in my lifetime.

Bucks wining title this year was pleasant surprise.. but not a big NBA fan, but happy for city of Milwaukee and Bucks fans.

My sports life is complete... I grew up in 70s/80s after Lombardi years... grew up 1/2 hour from Lambeau Field so sports news was always Packers, Packers and more Packers. Suffered through a lot of bad years of the Packers and all I wanted was one Super Bowl win in my lifetime and have already experienced 2. After the first Packers Super Bowl win for 96 season I consider everything else icing on the cake for sports teams I support.
Well shame on you for not being ashamed of your home team for not lowering itself to take blood money from a child/slave labor exploiter like Oregon does, because then you'd maybe be as good as Oregon's been? Hasn't won them a title, but they've made the top 25 a few more times than the Badgers and that has to be worth getting that blood on their hands on

Oh, so Oregon doesn't count the money it gets from the PAC? lol. Are you really that dense?

If it makes Oregon look good, you just believe it without any need of proof, eh? lol

No wonder YOUR takes are so bad.

I don't know where this information is coming from because I've found multiple sources that indicated something FAR different.

I'll post them soon.

I already mentioned the site and the name of the article. You can look it up for yourself, just type in the name of the article. Don't be so lazy. But this is your chance to say it's invalid. Or that usatoday has some kinda biased agenda.

I don’t know what you are counting. It just seems silly since Minnesota has such a tiny stadium, and they don’t even sell it out. So if you need to count the money that these other teams generate because they can sell out a stadium twice as big as the one Minnesota can’t fill up, you can do it, even though having to do it is embarrassing. Just think, your stadium is bigger than Northwestern’s but smaller than even Rutgers’.
