On ESPN Mortenson reported that this allegation originally goes back to the Nov game
with Indy when they picked Brady off twice. They said the balls did not feel right, and kept them and informed the league. Then after yesterdays pick the brought it up again. Why wasn't this story out in Nov then, why because the league must have found nothing to back up Indy's claims. Now after a beating which had nothing to do with the balls Indy brings it up again. if the ball was deflated when they took it off the field and warned the refs, don't you think it would have been brought up right away by the officials and the league right there that the ball was deflated? Last week they follow the rule book and used it to their advantage oh they cheated, please BB saw that used in a college game, looked at the rule book saw it was within the rules, and used it, with the League saying it was legal and people still bitch. Wow coaches actually using the rule book, and somehow other coaches do not like it and want it changed. Now deflate gate started by who the colts, same team that managed to get the pats and rules changed for manhandling there receivers years back. 2 weeks till the SB what wil be next.
All teams are required to provide 8 footballs for home games. The footballs yesterday were provided by the league because they have the Championship logos on them. Are Colts saying that when they had the ball, the Pats deflated and then re-inflated them for Brady? Or did the inflate them to the NFL standard when the Colts had the ball and deflated them for Brady? If the ball was deflated, why didn't they call a time out, give the ball to the referee and have him check the ball? No, they waited until after the game and maybe they deflated the ball before they turned it in.......
What's the Chain of Custody? Who handled the ball? Was it put in a hermetically sealed chamber until after the game? Blount beat the Colts by himself and didn't need Brady or anyone else.
You knew this stuff would happen. They complained about Solder being an eligible receiver too.
If the Patriots did cheat, it would not be the first time. The team was penalized a first-round draft pick, fined $250,000 and head coach Bill Belichick was personally fined $500,000 after an investigation by the NFL determined the team had illegally videotaped their opponents hand signals during a 2007 game.
And unsubstantiated accusations of cheating have long dogged the team, stemming from their Super Bowl wins in 2002, 2004 and 2005. The St. Louis Rams claimed the team illegally videotaped their walk-through practices prior to the 2002 game, and players on the other defeated opponents have said the Patriots seemed to have inside knowledge of their playbooks.
The Patriots lost the Super Bowl in 2008 and 2012, both times to the New York Giants after the fines.
My question is why won't the NFL come out with their findings? I mean, how long does this investigation need to take? Let me guess. Two weeks if the Pats lose. 6 months if they win.
They will investigate they whole case, have to awk everybody that intercepted any ball, all the refs etc.what i really need to know is how does this help, what does it do
